Solved: Outlook 2007 can't download emails
I have Outlook 2007 and I use Outlook connector to connect to my Hotmail account (STOP LAUGHING). Somehow Outlook can download and receive (or so it claims) but the emails never show up. And when I went to my Hotmail account, there were like 2540be3ff unread emails! Can anyone help me solve the problem, rather than help me avoid it? Like switching to GMail?

Hi techdawg667

This download for the Outlook Connector is dated 07.23.2008, are you using this one?

You are using the Outlook Connector to connect to a free Hotmail account, correct?

I couldn't find the date for the Connector, but I'm using version 12.0.4518.1068.

And yes, I have a free Hotmail account.

Possible fix
I haven't tried it yet but someone said this beta from MS helped them. I have the same problem but want to be sure I have good back-up before I try it.

Post if it works for you.

Interesting...The release date was the day my Outlook stopped working! Makes you think, huh?

It worked for me.
I backed up my outlook pst files to be safe.
Removed my connection to my hotmail acct in outlook.
Shut down outlook and uninstalled the old Outlook connector then rebooted.
I then installed the beta version that I sent the link to you in previous email.
Then I opened Outlook and reconnected to my hotmail acct and everything seems to work fine.

Hope it works for you.

EAFiedler has the same beta version direct from MS in his email. Probably a safer bet but mine seems fine.
