Exclamation Outlook 2007 Connector Synchronisation
Hey there! As you can see I'm a new user to this site but pretty tech savvy. I can normally figure a lot out myself but I'm baffled by this.

I have just started using Outlook 2007 to keep in close contact with friends and family as we have friends from all over the world. I have a hotmail account so I downloaded the connector as instructed.

I then started Office up and I got a yellow warning symbol (similar to the one on the title of this thread) in the bottom right hand corner.

I clicked it and this appeared:

Quote:
Outlook Connector Version 12.0.6237.1003

Account: (my email address)

Signed in successfully at 31/07/2008 11:35:07

Mail: Last successfully refreshed at 11:39.
Calendar: Error at 11:39.
Contacts: Last successfully refreshed at 11:39.

Errors :

Time: 31/07/2008 11:35:10
Error in Calendar
Synchronization error.

Time: 31/07/2008 11:36:56
Error in Calendar
Synchronization error.

Time: 31/07/2008 11:36:57
Error in Mail
Error with Send/Receive.
Look for a log in the Sync Issues folder.

Time: 31/07/2008 11:37:21
Error in Calendar
Synchronization error.
Even though it says mail and contacts were "successfully refreshed" I have absolutely nothing in my inbox. Now I've been onto this for 2 hours and I just give up!

If it is any use, I am using Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition and I'm running Windows Vista on my Acer Aspire 3610 laptop.

Any help would be fantastic, thanks a lot for reading this and I look forward to figuring this thing out!!

Hi Danny91!

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums!

Have you installed the new Outlook Connector?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

It worked for these users:

Let us know if that makes a difference or not.

Sorry for the double post, just thought I would add an image of what I am seeing, if someone knows how to fix this please help I'm becoming desperate for help!

The image, even though it says connected with everything else apart from the calendar (which I don't want to use anyway) I have no mail in my inbox and no contacts.

Maybe running a Repair will help?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889415

If the issue that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section is not resolved after you enable the COM add-ins, you may have to reset the load behavior of Outlook Connector. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
2. Click Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, and then click Repair.

Hey again,

I have tried everything, I have uninstalled the connector several times, rebooted every time aswell. My feeling is that it's not my end it's at my isp's, or perhaps even microsoft. I am pretty sure the reason why it is not working is because the time on my computer and the time on the hotmail server is not exact same, as the error I get is to do with synchronizing and from what I gather synchronizing is real-time.

I never use my calendar, I have a mobile phone for that. Is there any way I can disable the calendar so that the connector doesn't try to connect to it and I only get my e-mail instead?

Thanks so much for your patience and time

Did you check for the COM Add-ins per the link I posted?

What is the time difference between your computer and the server?

Yes in actual fact I did try that, but as soon as I got to the disable box, it wouldn't let me (I will include a screenshot of what it said) and so since that I've just not bothered trying again.

The time difference seems to be a matter of seconds, 4 to be exact and I've manually changed my clock, it's still 4 seconds ahead. Very strange stuff. And the annoying thing is it's just the calendar that's stopping everything else from working. Everything connects successfully apart from the calendar.

I also clicked repair but to no avail. Also my clock was originally set to the windows internet time. Isn't that the parent company of hotmail? What a carry on!
