Outlook 2003 Autoresolution cache problems
I have discovered a problem with autoresolution with my Outlook 2003 (XP machine). When I edit a contact to change an email address and save it, autoresolution still uses the previous contact card when I check names. (Note, I am not talking about autocomplete). When I click on the "check names" button, autoresolution offers up the old email address, and when I highlight it and click "properties," up pops the old, unedited, contact card. It appears this is a cached version of the contact card, because it is certainly not the newly updated version.

I have the same problem with distribution lists, where both autoresolution and autocomlete use the previous version of a distribution list after I have edited it.

I have tried deleting the nk2 file and that does not help.

The only way I can use the email address in the updated contact card is to go to contacts and drag the contact card to my inbox, which will then give me the ability to use the new email address. Once I have done that, autocomplete remembers that address for future use.

I have not seen anything in my research about autoresolution working with a cache, but that is certainly what appears to be happening here. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Scott
