rtf corrupted file
Hello everyone,

I opened my rtf file (in Greek) and I saw an endless line of white little squares. I have tried everything (insert-> file, opening through notepad, through open office) or almost everything but nothing worked. It is a very important file for my thesis. The problem is that I realized that I saved it as corrupted in my memory stick, my pc at the office, so i have it everywhere corrupted... Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

Your fonts might not support the characters. According to wikipedia, bitstream cyberbit (free, best basic greek character support) and titus cyberbit basic (also free, best extended greek character support) have the best greek character coverage.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. When converted to these fonts, the page became totally blank. It mustn't be a font matter.Thank you very much, anyway.

If you want, I can give you my email, and I'll do whatever I can to save it. It sounds like a pretty important document.

I could even run it through a program called strings that can extract the plain text from the binary file.

What program was it created in, btw?

It was created in wordpad. Thanks for your interest.
