Exclamation Converting $ in Access
I have an online form feeding a database that takes dollar amounts. Some people are putting $ in the box ie $1329.83 instead of just 1329.83. When the dollar sign hits my access database it converts the field to a memo field. When that happens my excel pivot tables can't add the numbers up.

Is there a way to automatically convert those memo fields to numbers?

Is there a way in a macro that you can change a field to be a number? This will work for me but I want to automate it so that I don't have to go manually change "memo to number" in the table design before I run the report.

We wanted to require decimal points, so we set it as an integer and for some reason the integer is letting in "$".

I don't think HTTP will allow VBA to run. Jack, can you give us a link to your online form? That might make it easier to figure out.
