Red face Collapse and Expand Tables in MS Word
Hi,

wondering firstly if it can be done but also if it can then how it is done. I know and have seen it working in Excel via Group and Outline Data; but does anyone know if it can be done in Microsoft Word?

Or as an alternative having a drop down box with options being numbers. So that if someone chooses 3 then 3 tables will appear for them to enter their information, or if they select 10 they they will have 10 tables to enter the information.

You can insert an Excel spreadsheet into a Word document. Have you tried this?

No, i haven't. I didn't think it would include the functions and such.

I found a VB code that allows me to use a checkbox to hide a table; it is pretty much perfect for what i need but i'm unfamiliar with VB and am having some trouble getting it to do everything i want. If i can't get this to work i may try importing a spreadsheet from Excel with the 'Expanding / Colapse' already setup.

You do not have the import it, there is an icon on the standard toolbar to insert an Excel spreadsheet in there.
