Question Weighted Average of Every Other Column With Data
Hi!

I need to compute the weighted average of every other column that has data. (sample file attached)

What formula can I use in Excel?

Please help!

Please explain more.
the attached data is uniform and can be averaged by the normal Average formula.

sorry about that. i guess i should've put examples in the attachment...

anyway, there might be instances when a person will get zero in a test or drops out. if the person gets a zero, he needs to be included in the data to be considered for the weighted average. but if he doesn't take the test (blank cell), then he won't be included in getting the weighted average...


also, i'm trying to get the weighted average of the percentages for the last column....

How about:

=SUM(G15,I15,K15,M15,O15)/(5-COUNTBLANK(F15:O15))

in P15?
