Solved: Outlook 2007 so busy it is unusable
I just installed Outlook 2007 on my Dell laptop that has Vista ot it so I could sync with my iTouch. After installing and running Outlook 2007 it is running something every few seconds that uses half the cpu. During this time I can do nothing with Outlook 2007. After a few seconds the activity subsides to normal background for one or two seconds and then I can click on something. It then starts up again. The very regular activity is confirmed by the Task Manager. When this activity is going on the cursor goes from normal to the busy curson and back very fast. This goes away when the activity stops for the one to two seconds. I was thinking it might be trying to syn with something or looking for something it can't find.

Any idea what this is and how to get rid of it?

Have you installed the updates to Outlook yet, or are you running what came on the CD?

I found the problem. When I unchecked the Outlook Addin the problem went away. I am not sure what it was doing but at least Outlook 2007 is now usable.
