Any wisdom for getting Word to work on Vista?

I just got a new laptop with Vista - and all my word documents are in Word 2000. Does anyone know if there is a patch or a way to get them to be compatible?

You should be able to run Word 2000 on Vista theoretically. However some people do have problems and reinstall does not work. It is probably a Vista issue , you could consider going to OpenOffice (OO) . OO will open and save microsoft formats http://www.openoffice.org/

Only other suggestion to be made is to try compatibility mode. Another solution is to run Microsoft Virtual PC http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
