I have a brother MFC 5840cn and i can print directly from an email in outlook and i can print test pages just fine. All other pc's in my house print fine to the printer. When i try to print from my laptop using Word 2007 or Adobe the indicator light on the LED display of the printer lights up like it is going to do something but then the printed file never comes out. The Laptop pending print files icon is always clear so its obvious the software thinks it printed the file properly. I contacted brother and they said that there is nothing on their end that they can do. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Is this printer networked from another PC?

If so, is it connected to a XP machine?

If not, how is it connected so the other machines can print to it?

The laptop is networked and printing in all applications except adobe and word. I use vist 32 bit. It is connected the same as all the other machines through the router.
