On my vista home primium hp computer
when i open any office 07 program it comes up with win installer "preparing to install" then comes up "this update package could not be opened. Verifythat the update package exists and that you can access it, or contacts the application vendor to verify that it is a valid windows installer update package."

do you have the office disk to reinstall office.
have you tried to remove office programs.
have you installed all office updates.

i have the disk but have used up my 3 uses

That is three different MACHINES not uses.

Your copy can be installed on 3 different machines, is this problem machine a 4th one?

You should NOT have issues in install of Office, but when you try to activate it, there you will get a message.

also 1 of the other computers crashed and i had to reinstall windows does this still class as one machine so can i install it on that computer again or will it class as a new machine
