do you mean it goes into
'personal folders'?? I have alreay transferred there most of the emails. Are they still counted towards outlook's size?

thanks

[quote=LindaMona;6787418]I am happy for them to remain on gmail (or will outlook download them again if they stay there?)

I tried to copy and paste them on the hard disk, but with exploring resources this does not seem to work. How I am supposed to save them on the hard disk??

You could make folders in Gmail but then they are always on Gmail, where when you put them in folders on your computer, you can have access to them any time without having to be on line.

As far as I know, the limit to the number of emails you can have is dictated by your ISP. After they leave the server and are on your own computer, the only restriction is the amount of memory on your computer.

thanks for your help
at the end I had to go through lots of emails and delete some and save photos and attachement on the hard disk for then deleting the email. This seemed to make snan.pst to work.

Bye
