Solved: Generating
Is there a way to run an Access macro that generates a report (1) using the filtered (or unfiltered) data (2) according to the criteria that I specify while recording the macro? I.e., somewhat like the macros in Word that automate certain tasks, how can I do this in Access?

The title of your thread is the reason you didn't get any responses so far - "generating" t'aint useful, remember that in the future ("generating Access reports with VBA" would be more descriptive.)
I am not one for coding in VBA, but I will give the link to your thread to some good coders on here.

Although, personally, I am not sure why you could not create a query with the info you are wanting an having a dialog box that would filter (or not) your data.

Can you please try to provide a more detailed description of what you are wanting. It would be helpful to explain using a real world scenario so we understand what type of data is involved and how it should be filtered.

Regards,
Rollin

Yeah. Can a mod please change the thread title to "Generating macros in Access"?

Can you give us more information on what you want the report to do, Queries and VBA can do almost anything you want in Access, but we need to know what you want it to do before we can help you.

OK I don't even remember what my intended task was. Plus, since the thread title fails, I'm going to mark this "solved" and start a new thread if I need to re-ask the OP's question.
