Exclamation Who can fix error 0x800CCC69 in Outlook?
I'm guessing that no one can fix this problem! Since none of the forum feedback I've found so far has helped. The error statement is seen in Outlook 2007 when I sent an email via POP3 account:

Task 'email address' - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC69) : 'The server responded: 550 IP address 86.176.168.5 in XBL'

The login details for the mail server are spot on. I've also checked all my other POP3 accounts and they all suffer the same problem.

The accounts have worked fine for several months. The only change has been the use of vodaphone mobile broadband. I installed it after my BT connection had trouble last week and ever since this problem has existing. My problem is definately linked to this since I also had the same problem 6 months ago and had to reinstall everything.

I'm coming close to a reinstalation of Microsoft Office and the loss of all existing emails. Please help if you can?

Do you have any stuck messages in your "Out" box?
If so, try to delete them.

yes a few times. I can recieve but not send. Same error message. The accounts are straight POP3 accounts and are working fine from my iPhone just not outlook. Because that mobile broadband has changed something. Same thing happened before but this time I really don't want a complete reinstallation of outlook and my wireless connection. Thanks again.

Try creating a new mail profile. Open your control panel and click on the mail icon and then click SHOW PROFILES. Create a brand new profile and do not copy from your old profile.

I know I'm a little late at the party but I've sporadically received the 550 message over the last year & tho' the IP addy was on a spamhaus blacklist, that wasn't the issue. (& no, I'm definitely not a spammer grrrr). Thru' trial & error I've found that rebooting my wireless router fixes the problem. Although I've 25 years experience in the IT industry, comms is definitely not my strong suit! So I still don't understand why this works, I'm just thankful it does & as this thread comes up very high on a google search of "'The server responded: 550 IP address in XBL" I thought I'd mention as it may help others.

Cheers
