Access 2003 ComboBox not displaying data
I have a combobox in a subform within a subform that will not display data when the main form is displayed/loaded. If I click on the combobox (giving focus to the field) the data will appear. All other data within the subform displays fine.

TechDad, welcome to the Forum.
It sounds like you haven't "Bound" the Combo to a field on the Subform.
i.e. in the Combo's Control Source is there a Field Name from the Subform's Field list?

Yes the combobox is bound to a field. I tried attaching a screen shot but it is bigger than the maximum size allowed for attachments.

If there is data in that field for the current record then the Combo should show it.
The other thing to check is the Column Widths of the Combo.
If you would like to post a copy of the database as a Zipped attachment or send it to me I can take a look at it for you.
Place the screenshot in an Excel sheet and then Zip it to put it on here.

What is in the second column of the combo, it's width is also set to 0cm?
Is there a Record in the subform with the ContactID in that record?

See attached for the "Select" that loads the ComboBox (shows field list).
As mentioned earlier there is an underlying record and the data appears, but only after you give focus to that field (by clicking on it).

I think I have come across this before, but can't remember the cause
Is the ContactAssociationId Column needed in the combo?
Have you tried creating a new combo with just the Contacts Table in it to see if it populates?

I believe I can remove the ContactAssociationID.
I have not tried loading the Combo Box with just the Contacts Table. I'll check it out.
Note I will need to do this tonight or this weekend. I'm currently at work and this is a personal application.

No problem, I am here all the time during the day usually from about 10:00am to 6:00 pm including weekends or you can email me if required.

I had some time at lunch.
I removed the ContactAssociation table and read directly from the Contacts Table. This worked, but it does not solve my need. I obviously want to limit the contents of the combobox using the Association table too.
I also tried just removing the ContactAssociationID, but that did not work. Same results, must click to see the data.
Any thoughts?

There are a couple of things you could try, you could try changing the Join between the Conatcts and Association Tables using "All records from Association table and only those matching from the Contacts table" but I doubt it will make any difference.
You could also try making the Row Source a Query rather than SQL as it is at the moment.
You could also try some simple VBA in the SubForm's On Current Event Procedure.
Like
me.PhysicianName.setfocus
or
me.PhysicianName.requery
or even
me.PhysicianName.requery
me.PhysicianName.setfocus
