Medialess OEM Office transfer
I bought a system in 2007 which had OEM office basic 2007 installed and was medialess, so no install disc just the product key. I am wanting to upgrade from vista to windows 7 on a clean install, and was just wondering was there anyway to get Office instaled back onto my system?

would downloading the trial off microsoft and using the product key i have work? or would i have to get a new Office all-together.

That won't work. However, if you can find someone with the same version of Office has a CD, you can install using their media and your product key. (this doesn't violate your license)

You might hunt around on the system and see if they had the Office bits stashed in a folder somewhere. That's common in medialess systems.

Sometimes the OEM would have media that they would sell you for a good price, and sometimes there's a System Restore kit you can buy.
