Smile Solved: quick access tool bar
When I was using Excel 2003, I was able to edit a button image on the tool bar. I can't find where to do it in Excel 2007.

Hi there,

You can't do that in 2007. It's a totally different animal (the Ribbon that is, as opposed to the old Command Bar system). To edit it you need to use XML. Here are some online references for more information...

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...277541033.aspx (info)
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338202.aspx (developer information)
http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/showthread.php?t=265636 (an AWESOME reference for customizing the Ribbon)
http://www.rondebruin.nl/ribbon.htm (a Ribbon customization page by Ron de Bruin, again, AWESOME)
http://pschmid.net/office2007/customize/index.php (Patrick Schmid's Ribbon Customizer)
http://www.dailydoseofexcel.com/arch...ns-vbnet-2005/ (Dick Kusleika's walkthrough on customizing the Ribbon)
http://www.excelguru.ca/blog/category/office-2007/ (Ken Puls blog on Office 2007 and the Ribbon UI, excellent source of Ribbon customization)
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Rib.../9780470191118 (link to Ken Puls book he co-authored on customizing the Ribbon - an excellent book, which I have a copy of and highly recommend it)
http://xldennis.wordpress.com/2008/0...ribbon-review/ (Dennis Wallentin's review of RibbonX)

I know this probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but customizing the Ribbon is totally different now. Microsoft wanted to make some drastic changes. Personally I like it much better than the old (Command Bar) system. It takes some getting used to, but I've used it for a few years now and am very happy with it. Customizing it isn't impossible, and can be a PITA, but afterwards I think it looks so much more elegant and efficient.

Thanks for the info. It's way over my head. I'll stick to the standard images for now.
