Question Solved: Access Database Error Message
I have a Microsoft Access database that has been in producion for a few years now.

The database contains a report that is built off a query. The report has always worked just fine, but now when I try to open the report I get the following error message "Data type mismatch in criteria expression".

Nothing has changed. I am able to open the query just fine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you double checked that the Query is actually the Record Source for the Report, ensure that that it is and it doesn't say "Select from the query" etc.
Also check any Grouping & Sorting to esnure they have valid Field names.
Can you post the database?

Yes, I just verified that the report is poitning to the correct query.

I cannot post the database on here, but I can send it to your e-mail if you like.

Boy oh boy did that take some finding.
The MonthName is screwed up by one Record.
Record ID Number AC61597 has an "M" in the Date Part instead of a "/".
replace it and your Report works again.

So much for the ID check we spent so much time on

I changed the MonthName to Format([Date], "mmmm") and when I grouped by it in a copy of your report the first one that was listed was the Rogue Record because it still used the Date and tried to decipher it.
