Outlook Error When Opening New Email
Hello,

I have a user who only periodically gets the Outlook error: "Cannot create the email message because a data file to send and receive could not be found. To add a data file, such as personal folders file, double click the mail icon in Control Panel."

--They are able to login to Outlook, it is ONLY when trying to open new email that that message appears. This does not happen all of the time and restarting Outlook usually corrects it. However they had to restart Outlook 4 times because of this yesterday.

--Outlook 2003, XP, IBM Thinkpad in "docked status", they also use a Blackberry.

--I have checked the PST files and ran scanpst.exe with no failures reported.

I am not sure what else to check. This is hard since it doesn't happen every time and Outlook, itself, opens fine. It is only when trying to open new email

Thanks for your help

you try deleting the account and remaking it to see if that works

also I had that problem, to solve mine I just smiple delete the account and remade it that had fixed it for me. If that does work them maybe some else has a better way.
