Automatic Send Receive not working in Outlook 2007
My PC is a few weeks old. We use Outlook 2007 on an Exchange Server. I just noticed yesterday that emails that I sent were piling up in the outbox. I verified that in the Send/Receive groups that it was set to "Schedule and automatic send/receive every 5 minutes." I tried creating a new group with the same settings and that did not work either. If I close Outlook and restart, it will send the emails on startup, but not after that.

Any suggestions? Thanks and God Bless.

Might I suggest using ANOTHER email software?

Outlook has never been really supported by microsoft, being a microsoft office specialist myself, I can tell you that Outlook is not really that great! Furthermore, it's best to ask microsoft for support rather than a tech board, for software is not really a hardware issue, and analyzing program faults, would be a program related issue best left for program designers, system analyst, and the likes of professionals who get paid for troubleshooting your issues.

Now, I know this is a Tech forum, but lets' face it, microsoft office questions are best left to microsoft if they are not simple ones!

Your problem is not something the average tech will be able to answer.

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just pointing you in the correct direction.

Thanks...
We have an exchange server...no one else's has this problem...just my pc all of a sudden. Don't plan on switching email software.

But I appreciate your comment about contacting Microsoft vs getting answers on this board...I like a straight shooter...thanks...

Try and reset the time to 2 minutes and OK yourself out. If it starts working reset back to 5 if that is want you want.

Sometimes it pays to give any program setting a swift kick in the backside for a restart.
