Cannot 'send' documents from file
This is a fairly recent problem. I have Windows XP and Outlook Express 6. When I open a file and try to send it-- it starts to send--but then, i get an 'error' message. One example: 'Access to accnt denied. Verify user name and password are correct. Accnt 'Hotmail' server. http//services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail./httpmail.server response 'Forbidden Port.O.SecireSSl.No.Server Error998. Socket Error 87. Error#0x800CCC33.

Another eg. 'Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server.

I have tried to look at my settings etc. but I am not that experienced here and cannot solve the problem.

Please help.

From memory Hotmail stopped supporting Outlook Express 6 from August 31st.

I don't use outlook, but have a look at Hotmail, they should be able to confirm or deny.

Yes--i have discovered that there is a problem with Outlook Express 6 no longer being supported by Hotmail--apparently, as of August 2009.

Thank you for your input--i have since had a 'tech' person help me deal with the problem, showing me how to send my files otherways.

You can use pretty much any email client to send files as attachments to emails. You also do not need to open the files first to send them as attachments.
