Security Restriction in Access
One of our workstations (part of a network) was updated last Friday with the latest windows patches. I just got a call from the colleague that she is having problems accessing an access file situated on the network due to security restrictions.
I am not that familiar with these details myself nor in front of this pc to play around but cannot help but suspect that the update somehow has changed her access rights.

As far as I understand, she can still access the networked drive that contains the file and apparently has no problems with other files but when she wants to open this particular access file, she gets rejected or rather due to security reasons she is prevented from opening.. Any advice on where I can look to adjust whatever needs to be adjusted? She has worked on this file for ages without ever having any problems. I have verified that she can create a new access file, so it seems that some protection measure that she had previously overruled to access this specific file has come back and needs to be overruled again (sorry for my non-techie language).

As a workaround we have now managed to save the file to her pc and she can work on the file there. However as the file needs to be accessed by other operators, this is not a real solution. As best as I can tell now the issue appears to be between Office and networking.

If she can Create and access a new Database, do so and then Import everything from the problem database in to the new one and then rename it to the old one.
She will also have a handy backup on her own computer as well.
