Solved: Using the F5 key to fill blanks
Hi,

Awhile ago I spoke with someone helping me fill blank cells with data from one row up. The instructions had to do with highlighting the column, hitting F5, choosing special, then blanks...after that I forgot the rest.

Can anyone pick this up & let me know?

Thanks!

The rest is:

Press the equals key.

Click on the cell above the first blank to create a formula.

Press CTRL+Enter to write the formula in all cells simultaneously.

To top & tail, you might want to copy the entire column, then Paste Special > Values to the convert the results of the formulas (AKA hard-coding).

Thanks, worked great! I also had to format the column for General cuz I was getting a return of the hard copied cell reference: ie, '=A3.
