A quick Google didn't turn up anything.

Have you tried moving by dragging and dropping the tab, or copying by dragging and dropping the tab while holding down CTRL?

"is there other way?"

As stated, "A quick Google didn't turn up anything." If I could think of anything else to suggest, I'd post it.

May I suggest that you try the original suggestion.

I would also disable any add-ins that are running in Excel to see if that makes a difference. If that doesn't work try starting Excel in safe mode by clicking on the Windows Start button and the selecting RUN and type the following command and then clicking OK.

Excel.exe /r

Note: In the command above there is a space just before the backslash ( / )

I have tried the steps but still could not work. Hi rolling i tried to type Excel.exe /r and the excel sheet pop out so i click on file open and browse to the file that has the problem but still have the error message when i try to copy. I also try to set macro to low but still the same. I went to the add in but didnt see any checkbox is checked. is there other solution to it. But one thing is when i try to copy/move using microsoft office excel 2007 and another computer it does not prompt the error. why is this so? thanks.

Has this anything to do with the operating system at all?

What operating system are you using on each of those machines Timestop?

Also which version of Excel are you using?

I see it is a .cvr file - that is generally associated with non-Office files, although I see a general list that says it is an "Office" file. What is it, exactly?

Are you able to open up Notepad and then open the file with that?
I read at one site that it might be a "coverage" file, which essentially is not something you would normally open anyway, being that it is "a report showing which code blocks have never been executed in the current series of tests, and which have been executed most frequently (execution hot-spots)." Whatever that means....

The "funny words" are probably formatting instructions, the same as if you open a Word document in Notepad.
Ok, from what I have been able to figure out, this is really a file that Office will use - but not one for your consumption, per se. It is not one that is designed to be opened in Excel.
How did you get the file and for what purpose were you told it was for? I would guess that there is a, say, .csv file that you should have received, not a .cvr.

Where did you get the file? It certainly isn't meant for general use - if someone sent it to you, contact them and ask them to send the right file.
