When I receive an email with a picture I only get a blank box with a red x. I'm using Win XP SP2, Outlook 2003. How can I get the picture to show up. I changed to security option & tried "detect & repair".

What is your email format? Virusscanner removed the picture?

Does this happen to ALL emails that should have images?

Normally, this is because the server that the image link is linked to is not on line or the image has been deleted from the server.

Go to Tools, Options, Email Options and make sure "Read all standard mail in plain text" is not checked.
Also, if there is a bar at the top of the email that says something (vaguely) like "Pictures have not been shown for your security. Click here to download/view pictures." then you should just be able to click there.
Or, it could be that the person who sent it never included the picture - a number of online email services strip out pictures automatically, or send them as attachments rather as pictures in the email.
Or, as Hans said, it could be your anti-virus.
Or your computer has measles....
