Autorecovery postponed
- using Windows Professional XP

When using the Word Program a window appears with the message - Auto Recovery is postponed. How do I correct this so the message stops appearing?

First of all, is the message actually "Saving the AutoRecovery file is postponed for (file name)"?

If so, what anti-virus program are you using?

Also, what is your version of Word (Office)?

Saving Autorecovery file is postponed
Earilier this week I sent a question regarding Microsoft Word.

I am using version 2003 of Microsoft Word.

When using the program a message comes up on the computer " Saving the Autorecovery file is postponed for ATENANCY.DOC.

The virus scan I use is Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Also, when I recieved a reply from the Tech Support Guy they wanted to know if I use Twitter. I am not familiar with Twitter and do I need to use this when corresponding.

Thanks

Dixie James

I assume you just installed Kaspersky recently? This is a known problem with KIS and Word 2003 and so far no solution has been forthcoming other than disabling the auto save in Word. This means that you would have to remember to constantly click "save" manually or you could lose some of your work if the system freezes or crashes for whatever reason as it wouldn't be saved.

I don't understand the Twitter comment as the e-mail replies don't make any mention of it. Surely you've heard of Twitter?

I suppose another solution is to update Word or perhaps Kaspersky will resolve the bug?

I haven't heard of the problem with other versions of Windows so I guess that would work. I honestly don't know if version 2011 of Kaspersky has the same bug or not.
