You really can't put Cal Thomas in the same league with Bill Buckley but George Will fits in there nicely. I read everything put out by both; contrary to our good friend linskyjack I've never heard Rush Linbaugh(sp?), I've never seen Rush Linbaugh and I've never listened to conservative talk radio.

Have fun oddling and {try} to stay out of trouble my friend--- good folks here >f
Yes, this is the first forum I have visited where they don't alienate you if you disagree with them. So far Gladiator is so so, 16 minutes into it and it already stinks of revisionist history. Caesar?!?!?!?

Wait did they call their leaders Caesars like a Tzar (Russian for Caesar) after Caesar croaked? I didn't think they did, did they?

Back up a second. I posted an article from him and I was crucified here. This is the guy who wrote most of the Patriot Act, the guy is so smart it's scary. He defended what he wrote extremely well and, correctly, pointed out that all the powers in the Act all ready existed. Now he is saying that the powers that existed are being miss used in his opinion, that doesn't make the Act bad, now does it? A good law wrongfully applied doesn't make the law bad. Not that I'm agreeing its wrongfully applied.

The point is, it can be used immorally, and many of us believe it IS being used immorally.

Back up Junior, that analysis applies to any law not that I'm agreeing it has been wrongfully applied. In Washington, D.C., they have installed right light cameras. If you get a ticket there are no points just a fine, the sole purpose of the camera isn't stop red light runners but to generate revenue for the city. In other words, a good law being abused.

Yes, but I don't see it as being a good law in the first place. I just don't like it, and I tend to agree with the left from what I've seen and read.
