Hi Baklava: I was doing MUCH better 3 years ago! I could walk and stand normally then and I was happier. That's about it! I hope 3 years from now to be happy and healthier! Take care. angel

I guess that this depends whether or not your are an exec for a major corporation and where you live!

In the UK, I am far worse off than three years ago, since taxes have risen and income has reduced. Also, my total cost-base (what it costs me to operate before I earn one penny) has risen in all ways. If I charged my clients increases that I have suffered, then I would have no clients!

My wife has a responsible position with IBM in London. This week, they had a meeting and Big Blue announced that there would be no rises this year. That now makes over three years without any rises in salary!

The bosses at the top, however, have all voted themselves huge increases and are doing quite nicely, thank you with their Stock Options!

And Mulder wonders why I am a vociferous critic of major global corporations!

Not enough time yet. I was technically wayyyy better off three years ago, but much of what I have been doing is to make me better off in the future compared to that!

I.E.

Three years ago I had just met the woman who will be my wife in 8 mos. (i consider that a big upside )

I have returned to college to (finally!) finish my degree.

Basically, trying to be optomistic about it all since I fall somewhere between the last two

BTW, I declined to select any of the options because it would not have mattered if Frosty the Snowman were President, my financial status would be right where it is compared to three years ago.

Thanks Basset.

In other words, the sort of place where raving meglomaniac Conservatives who don't give a $hit for anyone else just the ever growing cash mountain in their asset pile become sort of vaporised?

"Ever growing cash mountain?" Geez, I wish!

"Don't give a $hit?" You're defining compassion by how much help you give out of my pocket,
not by how many no longer need the help.

"raving meglomaniac Conservatives?" You know me better than
that, Paq. Should I take this to mean that you think all Conservatives are raving meglomaniacs?

Makes me remember a user that kept calling Liberals, "Bed Wetting, Pinko-Libbers" and as a Conservative, I
was the first to shoot his a$$ down for being an idiot.

Cheers

Stalin was correct. Now who wants to undermine patriotism, morality, and spirituality?
