American Muslims Told to Leave Major US Cities
I'm sure this will end up on snopes in a couple of days.

An Al Qaeda Web site is running a warning issued to Muslims to leave Washington, D.C., New York City and Los Angeles because of implied imminent terrorist attacks, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Titled "A Warning to Muslims in America," the directive was issued by the previously unknown "Islamic Bayan Movement" and first ran on the Global Islamic Media Web site on Monday, according to MEMRI, which translated the communiqué.

It has since been published on the Al Qaeda-run site Al Faroq (search), a MEMRI release said. The Global Islamic Media site has published several messages from Jihad groups around the world in recent months.

As of Tuesday, there had been no increase in the Pentagon's yellow terror alert status. Yellow represents an "elevated" status on the five-point chart.

"Our Muslim brothers in America, we ask you to immediately leave the following cities: Washington, D.C., New York, and Los Angeles," reads the communiqué, which frequently quotes the Quran.

"We are serious in our warning," the message states. "The next few days will prove to you the truth of this warning … To the oppressive rulers of America we say: Expect our terms following the first strike of Allah's believing soldiers [Quran, Chapter 59, Verse 2-3]."

The directive claims that U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan "are the only ones who know the bitter truth" about the situation overseas.

"How would they not when they see every day dozens of casualties from among their friends, the soldiers who die and nobody, even not their stupid rulers, is sorry for them," the communiqué states. "Then they hear the lies and distortion their rulers [tell] their people and the peoples of the world regarding the number of their dead …"

The communiqué refers to the "sufferings" of Muslims, saying they are victims of oppression, imprisonment and murder.

It ends with another verse from the Quran [Chapter 9, Verse 14]: "Fight them: Allah will punish them at your hands, and will humiliate them, and will help you to overcome them, and will relieve the minds of the believers."

In conjunction with the memo, Al Qaeda's Al Faroq posted a photo of the Chinook helicopter shot down on Sunday with a caption in Arabic that reads: "We shall bring down and destroy the values of the Hubal of this generation." Fifteen Americans died in the helicopter attack.

Hubal was a pre-Islamic-era Meccan idol used by Muslims to symbolize the U.S., according to MEMRI.

There's no sign of anything like that on Al Jazeera but I did find this:

No 'Saddams' among Iraqi babies

By Lamia Radi

Monday 03 November 2003, 10:38 Makka Time, 7:38 GMT

Not a single baby has been registered as Saddam since war
Before the Iraqi dictator fell, many newborns were proudly named after him, but with scorn being poured on Saddam Hussein, parents now prefer the names of revered religious leaders for their offspring.

“We have not recorded a single Saddam since the regime fell on 9 April," said Imad Fakhir Hasan, an employee at the public records office in Baghdad.

Before US troops ousted the president, numerous parents chose to name their children after him.

Today, the most popular name for babies is that of Ayat Allah Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim, the Shia Muslim leader killed in August.

"We recorded more than 20 in the week after his assassination," according to Maissun Rabiar al-Amara, who heads the public records office.

Birthdate incentives

"Before the war, birth certificates often gave 28 April as the day of birth, the same as Saddam, even if in reality the babies were born a few days later. That way they received 150,000 Iraqi dinars (then $75) every year after their first birthday", said Hasan.

Salim, a driver, could not call his child Saddam because it was a girl. But she had the good fortune of being born on 28 April 2002.

"I called her Milad - birth - to mark the link with the birthday of the leader. But the Americans entered Baghdad 19 days before I could get the bonus".

No Uday or Qusay

As Saddam's name has fallen from grace, so have those of his children. "No more Uday or Qusay for boys or Raghad and Hala for girls, names that were very popular when he was in power," according to Hasan.

"I expect Saddams will eventually come to change their bothersome name"

Yet, no Saddam has yet shown up to have his name changed, even though Iraqi legislation allows citizens to change their names and birthdates once in a lifetime.

"I expect Saddams will eventually come to change their bothersome name," a public records office employee said.

In a reflection of the changes that have taken place, the Shia Muslim majority is making its presence felt in a country where it was long oppressed by Saddam, from a Sunni Muslim family.

Islamic names

"There is a noticeable increase in Islamic first names popular among Shia," says Hasan. Members of the family of seventh century Imam Ali are top picks, including Nur al-Husayn, Fatima al-Zahraa and Abd al-Hasan.

"...today, an Iraqi can even call his son Bush if he wants"...

Emad Fakher Hassan
Employee; public records office Baghdad

"Under Saddam, people were scared to proclaim their religious or political convictions. Today an Iraqi can even call his son Bush if he wants," Hasan says jokingly.

"Thank God, nobody has done it yet."

One baby was recently registered under the name Usama bin Ladin.

"We tried to dissuade the father, but he insisted on the name."

Usama's father is from Falluja, a hotbed of anti-American activity.

Why not Seattle? What do terrorists have against attacking Seattle?! We have the...well...I guess they can blow up the Space Needle, but that won't do much except kill a lot of tourists. I wonder if I can sue Al Qaeda for discrimination.

EDUCATE AND FREE YOU AND ME - EXPOSE BUSH

I have just come across your message by accident, and the fact
that you state that this war is a war for wealth and power for the
Bush clan is very true, I wish the american people did know. the
american people dont think analyticaly, they just sccept
information. I am an american too, but have been blessed by
god to have a brain that analyeses....Why all of the sudden does
the ameican goverment need to "free" muslim people, and
"help" muslim wemon. They have lived in a tradition for
centuries, why all the sudden now and who are we anyway to
interupt a tradition and culture??????

It is a fake, a fruad. the american goverment does not care about
the muslim culture nor about its wemon,,,,it cares about the
money and who controls the oil.........
and our current president is not smart enought to think od this all
by himself, he is backed by his father the older Bush, and the
other memebers invloved "under the table"..
they are all making money of this war already...
the weapons they are using, the money the goverment gives
goes back to them,,,,they pay the ****racters and the contracters
pay them...but we dont see this and its making me and the few
people who do see and know this very mad..

TWO SOURCES NOW CONFIRM UNUSUALLY HEAVY US BOMBER, FIGHTER ACTIVITY

Two different sources, one on the US West Coast and another in Scotland, have now confirmed to News of the Force unusually heavy US bomber and fighter activity.

Since Saturday, people in the Highlands of Scotland have been witnessing large movements of US warplanes overhead. Experienced observers say the large numbers are reminiscent of those that preceded the bombing of Iraq in 1998 and military strikes on Libya in the1980's as well as the first Gulf War.

One source tells us that many of the planes have left bases close to or on the US West Coast.

It is thought that the planes have flown on a route from the US over the north pole to bases in Europe and the Mediterranean. The size and scale of the movement suggests that the US may be preparing to strike at a country in the Middle East in the next week to ten days.

What I have been able to find was that all these planes are for war games to simulate a attack to Isreal... But instead are intended to send a scare to Syria as these games are close to the border...

I think that it's ironic that right next to this speech, there is an Ameriquest advertisement. Does Ameriquest now not only support getting people out of debt, but the attack on America "for the sole reason of cutting the heart of the Israeli state"?

Or, they want someone to think they are getting ready to bomb them to get them to stop doing something!
