Global Warming and personal responsibility
Do you feel any personal responsibility of cutting your contribution to global warming?

You're wasting your time Paul. Any attempt to show ecological responsiblilty will be accused of being a leftist plot to cut into coporate profits. The only thing worse than a commie is a damn dope smoking tree huggin faggot!!

Please! They're all one in the same as far as I'm concerned.

In all honesty...

I don't see global warming as much of a problem as it was or as it is portrayed to be, because at this point in time there are a considerable amount of things being done to reduce/halt global warming, compared to say just 10 or so years ago. Say what you want to say though. Is it a problem? Yes it is. Do I feel it is as a big of a problem right now that many like to portray it as? No I don't, because of the fact that a lot has been done and is being done which has already resulted in a change in the other direction. Mind you also, the hole in the ozane layer over Antarctica has started to "recooperate" and the hole is shrinking. This is because of the changes that have already been made, and changes are going to take place in the future. So I don't really look at it as a serious issue because I do feel that it is being handled. Now is your extreme ultra environmentalist going to agree? More than likely not, lol.

I personally recycle. Beyond that I don't go out of my way to be environmentally-sound. I mean, I don't do anything or use any products which are considerably contributing to global warming. The only thing that does that is worth mention is my car, lol...

I've been accused here at TSG of all these at one time or another!

On the other hand, all my lawn maintenance equipment is electrical rather than gas. I recycle plastics, glass, paper, and conserve on water use.

On the down side, I worked in the mining industry for a while, drive a pickup truck & a gas eating 1987 polluting Blazer AND I use my wood burning fireplace during the winter like there's no tomorrow.

So on balance, like my politics, puts me kinda in the middle.

BTW, I think global warming is a pile of horsecrap!!

I agree with you, Wino.

Funny you should call it horse crap, since bovine flattulence was pointed to as one of the causes of ozone depletion.

One major volcanic eruption releases more greenhouses gasses than that of all humanity throughout all of time.

Should we start corking up those volcanoes?
