Lan, take chopped up garlic for a chest cold. You can take a heaping teaspoon or a tablespoon chopped up well mixed with avacado on a piece of rye with butter, a couple of times a day and it will knock it out muy pronto.
My son had gotten a cold at the same time I did. I sat down and ate garlic, raw, of course. In those day I'd take a tablespoon full, and wash it down with some milk, and then do another one. It didn't always sit well, but the cold or chest cold was gone within a day. A week later my son was still sniffeling when he noticed I didn't have a cold. "Garlic did that?" he said. "Yeah!" He was convinced. We got turned on to garlic from a friend. My wife had a high, high fever and a sore throat so sore that she could barely talk. She was sick. Her friend told her to take 2 tablespoons full every 2 hours. She took it every 2 hours all night long, but the next morning she didn't have a fever and her throat was normal.

For your knee, read Pete Egoscue's Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method for Stopping Chronic Pain. If you body isn't in alignment, you're an accident waiting to happen. The bones go where the muscles tell them to.
