Rather than bitching, moaning and griping on forums, why not do something about it?

While people blame the government on the economic problems, they ironically have very little control.

You complained about companies using foreign labour.

Why is that?

Well, for one it's your fault. It's the consumers fault. Joe American wants to buy a TV, but he doesn't just want a TV, he wants a big screen TV, DVD, Stereo, fancy house, two car, good food, etc, etc, etc. In order to afford all this he has to get a better paying job and/or pay less for each of these items.

If companies pay their workers more so they can afford these luxuries, they can't afford to make their product cheap enough for people to afford it.

So in order to make their product cheaper, they can't pay their workers more, and raw materials are only so cheap, and they still need to make a profit, so they look for cheaper labour. Well, minimum wage in north america is too costly to be able to produce their product for the price you are willing to pay so they look elsewhere. Thus putting americans out of work.

You see where this is going don't you? Americans love to live beyond their means, it's not just the government, you are in debt too are you not? Nearly everybody is. That's how we afford our houses, cars, and other luxuries. Credit.

So while the government may go into debt, it's quite hypocritical of the people to criticize when they do the same thing. Especially when they are the cause of their own problems. Americans are their own worst enemy.

Want to make more money and afford more goods and keep jobs in america? Then be willing to pay more for your products and get products made in North America.

Mind if I ask what kind of car you drive? I sure hope it's from one of the 'big three' (ford, gm, chrysler) otherwise your partly to blame for the economic problems. That money you spent on your car just went to help some other countries economy. Yes, when you buy a ford, some money goes to other countries because they have some parts built overseas, but more of the money you spent is staying in the country, helping america's economy.

Quit wanting things better, cheaper, and realize, that this attitude is what's killing the economy. This attitude is what's forcing the use of overseas labour. It's this attitude that's forcing massive layoffs and paycutts.

It's not entirely the governments fault.
