Capitalism: Corporate Pimps and Hip-Hop Hyocracy
Funny how rappers and hip-hop "artist" claim it is the music of the street and about their "struggle".

Funny how those same, oppressed and poor "artists" sure don't mind selling out for the big bucks, sucking in the very kids they claim to represent.

And the corporate pimps sure can't stand all that rap crap but they sure know a marketing ploy to suck the dollars out of all the willing little kiddies.

Quote:
Rhyme Pays: Hip Hop and the Marketing of Cool, an hour-long MARKETPLACE special, looks at how the hip hop industry uses the fantasy of living large and in charge to get you to buy stuff — without you even knowing they’re selling something...Canadian teens have a mind-blowing $25 billion a year in spending money, so it’s no wonder marketers are looking to hip hop music to try to cash in...with savvy consumers no longer paying much attention to commercials, what better way to sell your product than by slipping it into the lyrics they listen to and the videos they watch over and over again.
The music industry whines about lost sales because of illegal downloading but they sure don't mind using subliminal advertising to exploit the unaware. It's been said there's no morality in business. This is living proof! No wonder kids rip off music, the music has been ripping them off!

It's always been that way, look at how fat is sold to kiddies with a "free" toy
only have to eat another half dozen smilie meals to get the set

Why do you think marketing execs. are paid so much?

Be it music or food or cars, there will always be someone making money without producing.
