Arrow Kerry
Anyone else notice that Kerryites (my nickname for Kerry's supporters) rarely talk about their candidate's good points, they just talk about how stinky they think President Bush is? It makes one think that there really isn't that much Kerry can run on, other than he's against Bush. Comments anyone?

Some Bush bashers dislike Kerry just as much and feel that both the Republican and Democratic parties are bad ideas. At least with the candidates available, all around it's a bad choice.
so there are some that do not endorse Democrat or Republican

Cannot say I'm crazy about Kerry, but willing to take the unknown with Kerry to the known with Bush and will vote ABB. With an unnecessary war (Iraq) and it's continued degradation, loss of regard worldwide, TIA, PA I & II, FCC out of control, lies & misleading statements to obtain his ends, unneeded and ill thought out tax cuts, John Ashcroft, Rummy, Cheney, etal - no way would I vote for Bush. I held my nose in 2000 when voting against Bush, as I did not believe Bush was qualified to be president (now I'm sure) and didn't care for Gore - will be the same in 2004, just won't hold my nose - the choices this time are clear IMHO.

Easy. Obtain a large monochrome photo of George, and each morning stick a pin somewhere on the guys anatomy. Has worked quite satisfactorily with my ephagy of Tony. He is now making such regular visits to hospital that one Brit daily tabloid suggests he may be suffering hypochondria

My - isn't life fun

it's alive....
I've created a monster! LOL I just have to say that everyone's made very good points, and I have to concede that Iraq's turning out to be a bit of a pickle. However, every time I wonder why the @#$ we messed around with the whole shebang there, I ask myself, "Is the world better or worse off now that we have doctored pictures of a guy playing Whack-A-Mole, except with Saddam Husseins popping out of the little holes?"

Bush threads = 113
Kerry threads = 28

That doesn't include all the Bush Bashing threads WITHOUT Bush's name in the title.

And for comparison .... Clinton = 19

I think we need many more Kerry threads to even come close to the spewed votriole against the President of my country.

But to the subject of the thread, which none of the left here bothered to address, NO I have not seen anything positive coming from the mouths of either the Candidate or his supporters. This has never been a campaign about what good things John Kerry can bring to the country. Yet when I see the majority of the Bush ads filled with a positive message for the future and much more hope for a better tomorrow.

Bush ads claim Kerry 'wrong on defense'
Associated Press

http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory...litics/2452239
WASHINGTON -- President Bush accuses rival John Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran, of voting against American troops in a new television ad that begins running today in West Virginia.

"Few votes in Congress are as important as funding our troops at war. Though John Kerry voted in October of 2002 for military action in Iraq, he later voted against funding our soldiers," the ad says.

The 30-second ad labels Kerry "wrong on defense" and says the Massachusetts senator did not support bills that would have ensured troops had body armor and earned higher combat pay, and that would have given reservists and their families better health care.

Kerry campaign spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said the bills included provisions for no-bid contracts that were "a clear giveaway to Bush's friends" and claimed that Bush is the only candidate that has "turned his back on those troops."

"While John Kerry is committed to these troops, he's not going to help Bush further his failed policies," Cutter said

Bush's new ad is running initially in West Virginia, where Kerry was campaigning today, but Bush advisers said it may run elsewhere where polls show it would be successful, if not nationwide. Bush is airing commercials at moderate-to-heavy levels in 18 states, claiming Kerry's economic and national security proposals and record are flawed.

Bush advisers said the new ad is designed to counter Kerry's potential appeal in the culturally conservative state -- his Vietnam War record -- and is the first sign of a new strategy for the Bush team.

In 2000, Bush's campaign primarily stuck to a single nationwide theme at a time in its TV advertising. This year, global themes will be supplemented by ads targeted to specific states based on detailed polling and focus groups.

In this case, criticizing Kerry's record on military issues both undercuts his appeal as a veteran and underscores the White House's argument that he says one thing and does another, the advisers said, speaking on condition of anonymity. They said ads touting Bush's strengths and attacking Kerry on other issues will be crafted for a specific state or states.

Advisers said the ad shows Kerry is operating in a "parallel universe."

"He's accusing the president of things that his record actually says he did," said Matthew Dowd, Bush's chief strategist.

Cutter responded that Bush "faces a bigger problem in that he has a mounting, widening and deepening credibility gap in his ability to take care of the troops."

Others have stated that Bush spend over $40mil on anti-kerry ads.
