Post Secret Service Probes Boy's Art Depicting Bush As Devil
They should investigate other people so well. I wonder if he is being disallowed freedom of expression and what the school's "punishment" will be? I bet he freaked when the SS showed up! I guess nowadays you can't be too careful about anyone expressing dislike of the President. See I'm actually torn on this one...on one hand the drawing, particularly of Bush' head on a stick is disturbing....on the other hand shouldn't he be allowed to express himself? Take care. angel

Secret Service Probes Boy's Art Depicting Bush As Devil

POSTED: 10:37 a.m. EDT April 26, 2004

PROSSER, Wash. -- One drawing showed President George W. Bush's head on a stick. Another depicted Bush as a devil launching a missile.

The drawings by a 15-year-old boy in Prosser were enough to prompt some questions from the Secret Service.

Agents questioned the teen after being called by police. The boy's art teacher told school officials about the drawings, and they called police.

The boy was not arrested. The school district has taken disciplinary action but refused to say what it was.

I wonder what grade he got? I mean, what if the artwork itself was technically very highly artistic, content notwithstanding? And I wonder if he had drawn Christ in a bucket of urine would he have been reported to the principal? What If he had drawn Mohammed as a devil? Would he have gotten a gold star? And this happened in "progressive' Wasshington state? Sheesh!
