Angry The Last Straw - Baby Give Away
I don't watch alot of TV and I have never watched any of the TV "reality shows" (not even The Apprentice) as at best they seemed to me sophmoric entertainment and at worst crass exploitation. But now they come up with the most offensive thing I have ever seen.

If you haven't seen the ads ABC, tonight on 20/20, is showing a young girl who is putting her baby up for adoption and the five couples "competing" for the baby. ABC claims it is a "thoughtful piece on adoption" but the ads make it seem like an ultimate reality show with Barbara Walters saying "tune in to see who gets the baby".

I am totally disgusted What's next people needing transplants in competion for organs on TV? Is nothing personal?

ABC pulled the original ads after protests but it is obscene that someone in charge was so insensitive and stupid to even think of such a thing.

The nation gets upset about 3 seconds of Janet Jackson's breast but something as offensive as this is seen as "entertainment". I am totally against any type of censorship but this "baby give away" makes me reconsider.

I saw that and think it is ridiculous too! You have to wonder if the teen girl is going to tape the show and insist it be given to the child she is giving away when the child grows up! Entertainment takes a new leap....downward! Take care. angel
