American's Decapitation Shown on Internet

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Images of an American hostage being decapitated surfaced Saturday on an Internet site known for carrying the statements of Islamic militants.

The gruesome videotape appeared three days after U.S. authorities announced the search for the body of Paul M. Johnson Jr. had been called off.

Still photographs of Johnson's beheading had been posted June 19 on some of the same militant Islamic forums that on Saturday provided links to the newly released video footage.

Johnson, a 49-year-old engineer for U.S. defense contractor Lockheed Martin, was kidnapped June 12.

The video, which ran almost two minutes and included images of tanks and destroyed homes apparently in Iraq, carried the title "The Voice of Jihad: Get the infidels out of the Arabian Peninsula."

Voice of Jihad is the name of a periodical issued on the Internet twice monthly by the al-Qaida cell in Saudi Arabia, which claimed Johnson's killing.

A man, his head wrapped in a red and white checkered headscarf and his face not visible, is seen using a knife to decapitate Johnson, who was lying face down on a mattress.

The man held up Johnson's head for the camera then placed it on the body. One of the killers wiped blood off the knife on the orange jumpsuit Johnson was wearing.

Hours after the still photographs were released last month, Saudi security forces shot dead Abdul Aziz al-Moqrin, the leader of the al-Qaida cell in the kingdom.

On Wednesday, U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia, James C. Oberwetter, released a statement saying the FBI's search for Johnson's remains was near completion without the body being recovered.

FBI experts sent to the kingdom to help with the search began leaving and, a day later, the U.S. State Department confirmed the search had ended.

Johnson's son in Florida, Paul Johnson III, 28, was pressing U.S. officials to do more to find his father's body.

Since May last year, Saudi Arabia has suffered a series of terrorist attacks, including suicide bombings, gunbattles and kidnappings.

Many attacks have targeted foreign workers in an attempt to undermine the economy, which depends heavily on expatriate labor. Al-Qaida, led by Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden, aspires to topple the Saudi royal family and replace it with an Islamic government.

On June 23, 2004, Saudi Crown Prince Abd Allah ibn Abd Al-'Aziz declared, on behalf of Saudi King Fahd ibn Abd Al-'Aziz, a month-long period of clemency during which Al-Qa'ida members could surrender.

In response, Sawt Al-Jihad, an online magazine identified with Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula, published an article by Sheikh Ubay Abd Al-Rahman Al-Athari bin Bajad Al-'Utaybi, titled "Oh Demonic Rulers, There Will Be No Surrender!," rejecting the Saudi offer. The following is the English translation of his article translated by MEMRI.

Jihad Is A Principle Of Faith That Flows in Our Blood And Gushes From Our Hearts

Praise be to Allah, and prayer and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions.

Now to the matter:

We have heard the speech of the Traitor of the Two Holy Places, which was written by one of his black servants and read by the stupid one, his crown prince [Abdallah ibn Abd Al-'Aziz], which states that the Mujahideen must turn themselves in within one month from the date of the speech.

We want to tell these demonic rulers [Tawaghit] and their rabble hangers-on, their black servants, their army, and their rabbis, monks, and agents: We did not take this path [of Jihad] because someone misled us or for the sake of some person. Rather, we read in the Book of Allah [i.e., the Koran] 'Oh you who believe, what is it with you, that when you are asked to go forth to fight for the sake of Allah you cling heavily to the ground? Are you more satisfied with this world than with the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life as compared with the Hereafter [Koran 9:38].

We went forth to fight for the sake of Allah, and we saw the lands of the Muslims conquered and their holy places defiled by Jews, Christians, Shiites, and polytheists, and especially the land of the two holy places [i.e. the Arabian Peninsula], and so we undertook Jihad in it.

Oh demonic rulers! Jihad for the sake of Allah is one of the religious obligations of Islam, which has been practiced by the heroes of the Islamic nation, as a way of removing injustice to them, slaughtering their enemies, and aspiring towards rightly guided caliphate. Jihad is a principle of faith that flows in our blood and gushes from our hearts.

Oh demonic rulers! Jihad, which Allah, the Powerful and Sublime, mentioned in many verses of His Book - you will never be able to eradicate from our hearts, Allah willing."

This Path We Have Taken Is A Religion, And We Owe It To Allah To Cling To It

Oh demonic rulers! Allah said, 'Wavering between this and that, with neither these nor those, he whom Allah leads astray - you will never find the right path for him [Koran 4:143].' And you indeed are wavering. Some of you say there should be no dialogue with the terrorists - the Mujahideen - and state, there should be only rifle and sword [between us and the terrorists]. Some others of you say: Turn yourselves in and use your brain. The latest manifestation of your fumbling is that proposal of a one-month opportunity to repent proposed by your stupid great leader - which means forgiveness for whoever turns himself in. Allah be thanked and praised, this [offer which is made to us] despite our meager means is nothing but your defeat and fumbling.

This Jihad has revealed to us hypocrites, agents, and those who tremble with fear and weaklings [in our own ranks]. We ask Allah for forgiveness and strength in this world and in the Hereafter.

Oh demonic rulers! This path we have taken is a religion, and we owe it to Allah to cling to it. We shall never abandon it, nor be negligent of it, and we ask Allah to make us steadfast in it.

Oh demonic rulers! We are engaged in worship: If we are killed, we are martyrs asking Allah to receive us. And if we remain alive, we are happy, and Allah is to be praised and thanked.

Oh demonic rulers! The blood of the best of us who were killed - Nasir Al-Rashid and Rakan Al-Sikhan, and Abd Al-'Aziz Al-Muqrin, and Faysal Al-Dakhil, and their brethren -on the soil of the land of the two holy places shall never be lost.

Oh demonic rulers! We did not join this path in ignorance of it. Nay, we know its hardships and its danger, and we ask Allah for the reward for it, and for provisions for it. The great companion of the Prophet, As'ad ibn Zurara,(4) when the Ansar [i.e., the Medinian supporters of Muhammad] came to swear allegiance to Allah's Messenger on the day of the Aqaba oath, said to them: 'Not so hastily, oh people of Yathrib [i.e., Medina]. We did not spur our horses on the way to him [Muhammad] except for knowing that he is Allah's Messenger, and that taking him out today [with us to Medina] signifies a split from all the Arabs, and the killing of your best, and being bitten by swords.'

And we tell the demonic rulers and their black slaves and rabble hangers-on that we did not go down this path except for knowing that the day will come when many will fight us. And indeed, oh demonic rulers, the rabbis and monks of your putrid government and your mercenary army all hastened to join you in your war against us for the sake of America.

Oh demonic rulers! There is no oath of allegiance between you and us, and we owe you neither hearing nor obeying. There is nothing between us but fighting for the sake of Allah. Allah is our Protector, while you have no protector.

Oh demonic rulers! We denounce you as infidels, and there is hostility and hatred between us forever until you believe in Allah alone.

Oh demonic rulers! There is no surrender, rather fighting; there is no humiliation, rather death; no defeat, rather Jihad for the sake of Allah.

Oh demonic rulers! According to what law do you want to bring us to justice? The law - regulations of the commercial courts - of the Chamber of Commerce, or the law which permits and protects usury, or the law which makes the land of the two holy places permissible to the harlots of Byzantium and the bisexual Jews and Christians? What law? The law that gives the imams of unbelief and error power over the monotheistic Mujahideen in the prisons of Al-Hayir and Al-Ruyis and 'Aleisha? According to what law do you establish a fraternal alliance between Jews and Christians and us?

The law of Islam brought by Muhammad is unbelief in anything that is worshipped other than Allah, and relinquishing and showing hostility to unbelief and unbelievers, and empowering the law of Allah in all matters of life so that there should be no discord and so that all religion should be Allah's alone."

Allah Promises Us Either Victory or Martyrdom"; "The Matter Between You and Us is One of Unbelief Versus Belief, Polytheism Versus Islam"

Oh demonic rulers! Allah promises us either victory or martyrdom. And you promise us forgiveness and then imprisonment. We shall never relinquish the promise of Allah in exchange for your promise. For Allah speaks more truly, and the promise of Allah is better and finer in meaning.

Oh demonic rulers! The matter between you and us is one of unbelief versus belief, polytheism versus Islam. It is a matter of principle of belief.

Oh people! The crimes of Ibn Sa'ud and his army, the most recent of which are the destruction of Mosque of the Ascetic Sheikh Abd Al-Karim Al-Hamid in Burayda and the hunting down of the Mujahideen and the allocation of millions to whoever brings information of a Mujahid so that he can be handed over to America - all these prove the error and depravity of these people [i.e., the Saudis] and of their war against Islam, and that they are our enemies.

Oh, you with zealousness and belief in your hearts! How can you be content with these as rulers over you, and as custodians of your affairs. 'Therefore, flee unto Allah. I am the bringer of clear warning from Him to you. [Koran 51:50].' And He said, 'Incline not unto those who do wrong, or the fires of Hell will touch you. You have no protector save Allah, and you will not be helped [Koran 11:113].

Oh demonic rulers! The believer will not be bitten twice from the same snake-pit, as Allah's Messenger said. Your father, the slave of the English, betrayed our ancestors the Ikhwan in a place called Al-Sabla. This treachery shall not be repeated with us, Allah willing."

Saudis find head of slain US captive

The head of Paul Johnson Jr, a US citizen who was seized and executed by an anti-government group in Saudi Arabia last month, was found by the kingdom's security forces in a raid that left two dead, the Interior Ministry said.

One of the dead, Isa Saad Muhammad bin Awshan, was on the Saudi list of "wanted militants".

In a statement broadcast on Saudi al-Ikhbariya television on Wednesday, the Interior Ministry said Johnson's head was found in a freezer in an apartment - one of three locations searched following Tuesday's raid. Disgusting and vile!

The rest of the body has not been found, the ministry said.

The US Embassy in Riyadh issued a statement saying the Saudi authorities had informed it they had found "what they believe to be the head of Paul Johnson".

The embassy's consular section was in the process of notifying Johnson's family in order to identify the head, the statement said.

Earlier, an Interior Ministry official said Saudi authorities were holding the wife and three children of Salih Muhammad al-Awfi, the man believed to be al-Muqrin's successor, after the raid in which two anti-government fighters were killed and three security personnel were wounded.

A pan-Arab news station reported that al-Awfi might be among the casualties.

An Interior Ministry official said a gun battle erupted when a security team came under heavy fire while inspecting a residence suspected of being used by Saudi dissidents.

Just last week, US authorities announced the search had been called off for the body of the Lockheed Martin engineer who worked on Apache helicopters.

Johnson, 49, had been in the kingdom for over a decade when he was kidnapped on 12 June in Riyadh by captors who followed through on a threat to kill him if the authorities did not release its al-Qaida prisoners.

An al-Qaida-linked group claiming responsibility posted an internet message on 17 June that showed photographs of a decapitated body. Later a video of the beheading was posted on the same website.

Hours after the pictures of the beheading appeared on the internet, Saudi security forces shot and killed Abd al-Aziz Al-Muqrin, the alleged mastermind of Johnson's capture and execution.

Mujahideen Attack Saudi Security, Hunt Underway For Operatives

Saudi security forces say they have killed two suspected Al-Qaida operatives, and wounded and captured three others in a gun battle in Riyadh last night, the Interior Ministry said. According to details, Saudi security forces came under fire from Mujahideen armed with bombs and rocket- propelled grenades in a residential district of Riyadh. A second group of Mujahideen opened fire before escaping.

Saudi security forces are currently underway hunting for those that escaped and reinforcements were being brought in to comb the area.

"The suspects fled to a house, then there were several explosions and they apparently managed to flee. Security forces are looking for them," a security source said. The source said there were some injuries, including at least two wounded policemen, in the clashes in the northern King Fahd district. One suspect got away by hijacking a private car.

Al-Oufi’s Family Arrested

Security forces also arrested the wife and three children of Saleh al-Oufi, the newly appointed head of al-Qaida in Saudi Arabia, the Interior Ministry said in a statement. Al Arabiya television said Oufi may have died in last night’s battle but that appears yet to be speculation.
Al-Qaeda chose Oufi, 38, as its Saudi leader after Abdul Aziz al-Muqrin was martyred in a battle with police June 18 after the beheading of US engineer, Paul Johnson. Al-Oufi worked as a security guard for the Ministry of Interior and is said to have strong support inside Saudi security forces.

Saudi Arabia has recently become an open front for Al-Qaida. The group is targeting Westerners inside the kingdom in an effort to expel foreign nationals from the country and to ultimately overthrow the corrupt ruling al-Saud family.

Amnesty Ignored

The limited amnesty offered in the name of King Fahd that gave Al-Qaida operatives one month to surrender or face the "full might" of the state has been for the most part ignored. To date only four individuals have turned themselves in who will face trial if they have been involved in attacks, but they will not be awarded the death penalty. While “friendly” countries have returned 27 Saudi citizens wanted for security reasons, the amnesty offer has been pretty much a wash as Al-Qaida predicted as a "desperate attempt to halt the jihad in the Arabian Peninsula" and that it was doomed to "inescapable failure”.

The House of Saud And The Saudi-Salafis

Michael Moore’s award winning documentary, “FAHRENHEIT 9/11”, highlighted the unprecedented level of Saudi investment in the US, the world’s largest economy. The figure runs into trillions of dollars, and is estimated to be about 6-7% of the American economy. The bulk of the money invested is from surplus ‘petro-dollars’ acquired from the sale of oil. Saudi Arabia has the largest known petroleum reserve in the world and ranks as the largest exporter of the substance, which constitutes about 90% of the total export revenue and approximately 40% of the country’s GDP.

The term ‘petro-dollar’ came into existence after 1945, when the US enforced the dollar as the global reserve currency for oil transactions. In 1971, Richard Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard and the oil was being bought in exchange for the fiat dollar currency produced at the whim of the US government. It could be argued that the US acquires the oil for free as it simply prints the money to buy the oil. The petro-dollar that is acquired has some level of purchasing power, which is the real value, as paper money intrinsically is worthless.

If the dollar weakens, the purchasing power of the petro-dollar diminishes, causing heavy losses and that means “oil for nothing and dollars for free”! Since the revenue is acquired in US dollars, it will most likely lead to an increasing demand for US based goods and services at the expense of the domestic and regional economy. So, for the last fifty years imported consumer goods from the West are traded in return for the precious black gold and there has been no real effort by Saudi Arabia to transfer the technology and develop its industry.

No one can really think of any reputable company or a well-known brand of goods that originate from Saudi Arabia. Even the oil industry, which has been functioning in the country for the last sixty years, the Saudis are still unable to maintain even the basic oil production without the help from the Western companies. Faisal Turki recently admitted this when he stated that Saudi Arabia needs the Western employees to remain in the country to keep the oil industry running after the recent attacks took place on the Western employees inside Saudi.

If there were ever a genuine intention to attain independence in running the oil industry, then there would have been the drive to transfer skills to the native population to gradually replace foreign workers over the years. In fact, Saudi Arabia should have become an expert in the field, transforming itself into a magnet in attracting others to come and acquire the skills in running the petroleum industry. This would have generated income and expanded the economy, as opposed to letting the funds flow out of the country continuously.

Japan is another example; it has become one of the largest economies in the world and it relies on importing the oil as raw materials for its huge industry and produces everything from well-known motor vehicles to household electronics goods. In contrast, the economies of Saudi Arabia and other OPEC members, despite being gifted with so much oil, collectively remain tiny in comparison to Japan.

Therefore, the next question is, what happens to the excess petro-dollar? It is recycled by the OPEC member nations like Saudi, Kuwait and others back into the US economy, held as U.S. treasury bills and other short-term instruments in American and Western European banks. Apart from the Saudi government’s petro-dollar, even wealthy private individuals have invested outside the country into the US and European markets. This investment coupled with the cheap oil supplied by Saudi and Kuwait has been a significant factor in American’s ability to launch the attack on Iraq with great ease.

The inability of the Saudis to use its oil reserves has allowed the US to increase its belligerent policy in the region. Each successive government provides increasing support to Israel in economical and political terms whilst scorning the right of the Palestinians to resist. Over the decades, the US had continuously betrayed the Arabs of the promises made with respect to the Palestinian issue. That is why the oil sanction imposed by King Faisal in the early 1970s actually surprised the US government as they thought King Faisal was simply letting out more “hot air”, when he issued threats prior to imposing sanctions. In response, the US threatened to invade the country and takeover the oil fields. This plan is now being touted around by the neo-cons. So we may see King Fahd transforming into dictator Fahd and the oppressed Saudis needing liberation!

So, the Islamic world asks why are the Saudis investing so much money in a belligerent nation like the US, which has increasingly taken on the anti-Islamic identity even before 9/11? Saudi Arabia is the heartland of Islam and the birthplace of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and has the two sacred Mosques (Masjid), where millions gather to perform the annual pilgrimage (Hajj). Its conduct should be in the interest of its own citizens and the wider Islamic world. Can any one imagine the Vatican investing all its surplus money into the Islamic world? Who can forget the generous Saudi prince wanting to donate ten million dollars to the ‘poor’ Americans after 9/11 yet so many Muslims cannot get basic amenities to their doorstep. The mayor Rudi Giuliani did the correct thing by returning the cheque, thereby demonstrating that not everybody can be brought with money like prostitutes.

This proves the point that no matter how gifted a nation is in terms of natural resources unless its leadership has a genuine vision and the will power to become independent and strong it will remain in a declined state. Saudi Arabia is not able to exert any influence politically, economically or militarily in the international or in the regional arena. Diplomatic and political influence has to be backed up with a strong military force and a strong economy. If a relatively poor nation like Pakistan without the vast oil resources has been able to produce Nuclear weapons then surely the Saudis by now should have possessed stockpiles of these types of weapons.

If the Saudi government had a genuine vision, money would not have been squandered but rather invested wisely. A highly skilled work force would have been built; research and development would have lead to the creation of new technologies and know-how. This is most essential, as we live in an era of the knowledge-based economy. It is the ‘knowledge’ that transforms the silicon found in the raw material sand to produce microchip, the building block of the huge computer industry.

Apart from squandering the wealth, Saudi Arabia has an appalling track record from Muslim-abuses, inflicted upon the poor Muslims who have come from places like Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Egypt, Sudan, and Yemen. They are often abused by the employers and underpaid for the work carried out. In contrast, the white Europeans and the Americans are paid promptly a far greater salary for doing the same work. This is the consequence of having deep inferiority complex and racist views. A report on the abuse of foreign labour in Saudi Arabia has also appeared recently in the mainstream media.

In order to stifle the criticism the Saudis have produced and funded the Salafi movement, they claim to be the followers of Muhammad Abdul Al-Wahhab and Ibn Taymyaah, known more commonly as the Saudi-Salafis, as opposed to the Jihadi-Salafis led by the likes of Usamah Bin Laden. The Saudi-Salafis remains well funded, producing lots of glossy booklets, institutions, schools and host of ‘scholars’ that are always dispensing religious edicts (‘fatwas’). We now examine briefly some of the arguments and issues advocated by such movements.

Saudi-Salafis

One of their fundamental arguments is their insistence on accepting their interpretation pertaining to certain metaphysical issues that has no real consequences for our life on earth. They are equally fanatical about the dress codes and personal ritualistic matters even on areas that are to be practiced at the discretion of the individual. To such people, unless these aspects are in place nothing else can be discussed. Even if thousands of Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine perish, mosques desecrated, women raped, but you cannot still squeeze a ‘fatwa’ or an opinion expressed on the subject, with the same level of enthusiasm, as for example discussing “where is Allah (SWT)”. The Saudi-Salafis are known to be ‘fatwa’ enthusiasts, so even when the American forces launched its recent attack on Iraq I did not find any fatwa related to Jihad or ways of resisting the American aggression.

Therefore, it seems the shedding of the blood of the Muslims does not rank very high on their list or priorities. Perhaps it is considered a minor Prophetic tradition (Sunnah)! They produce lots of glossy booklet on a variety of mundane issues but to date there is not a single book available on the subject of occupied Palestine and how it could be liberated, especially as the third holy Mosque is situated there. Similarly, they are continuously silent on the US-led slaughter in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the presence of the military bases in the region that have been used repeatedly to launch aggression against the innocent Muslims.

On the contrary, those individuals and groups that have attempted to raise such issues have been derided with a deliberate vicious campaign accusing them of deviancies from orthodox Islam and questioning their sincerity.

Furthermore, the Saudi produced movement has at times blamed the victim as opposed to the aggressor. During the war in Bosnia, the lack of support to prevent the slaughter of Muslims was often justified by pointing out that they were not really good Muslims as they had deviated from the teachings of Islam. So, the onslaught was self-inviting by the Bosnians; basically the fault was theirs. Yet, all this time we thought only the likes of James Ruben or Richard Perl can construct slimy arguments like that!

This approach conveniently facilitated the likes of the Saudi Arabia to remain silent. Even if the Saudi-Salafi assertion were true about the Muslims in Bosnia, there is not a single piece of Islamic text or legislation that states that as a reason to absolve the Muslim government’s responsibility from protecting them from belligerent infidels like the Serbs. If we recall, the Prophet of Islam dispatched an army to war for seeking retribution for the dishonoring of just one woman and there was never any discussion about if she was a good or a bad Muslim.

This type of mindset also makes it easy for the Saudi-Salafis to implicitly construct similar arguments against the Palestinians, and consequently their obese citizens can continue to shop in Marks and Spencer without ever feeling any guilt.

Another area of obsession is polytheism (Shirk), atheism (Kufr) and purity of monotheism (Tawhid) but they are perfectly comfortable for the US forces to be present on Saudi occupied Arabia (Hizaj and Najd) bombing the Iraqis, and now threatening the Muslims in Syria and Iranian. After Abu-Ghraib, how can any sincere and independent Scholars remain silent to the continuous alliance with the US? It is the same US that is continuously legitimizing Israeli aggression! Only the shameless and treacherous ones would continue to sleep with those who have raped and tortured our children, mothers and sisters in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan in a manner that is not even found amongst animals.

According to the twisted logic of the Saudi-Salafis, they purport that there is benefit of having US forces as they managed to convert so many during the first gulf war. Of course, that didn’t stop those newly ‘converted’ US soldiers from bombing and killing the Muslims in neighboring Iraq and in Palestine through proxy! Is it Jihad in reverse gear as Muslims are the intended victims? More importantly, there is no logic in having more US troops despite what activities they are up to as long as we have a few converts. I wonder if converts to Islam would gain the same level of prominence if they were from the poor slums in India or South America?

Promoting these types of arguments is not that difficult when you consider that the vast majority of the Saudi-Salafi followers are brain-dead. Besides, they have been programmed to attack their fellow Muslims and to raise irrelevant minor issues, so that focus is kept away from their paymasters and at the vital issues like the wanton killing of the Muslims. When the Saudi-Salafis talk, you must listen. When you challenge them by the construction of your own thoughts, you are automatically reduced to a deviant innovator lacking in scholarly knowledge.

With great minds like the Saudi-Salafis forget the rest of Palestine, even just the Mosque of Jerusalem (Masjid Al-Aqsa) has already been sold. Like the oil, it has been sold to the Israelis at the most rock bottom price - absolutely free! Medina and Mecca will follow soon. All that is important is maintaining their palaces, limousines, shopping centres and the Filipino ‘nurses’. On June 23, 2004, Saudi Crown Prince Abdallah declared on behalf of King Fahd a one month ultimatum during which Al-Qa'ida members should surrender themselves to authorities. Responding to this ultimatum, number 25 on the 26 most-wanted list Othman Bin Hadi Al-Maqbul Al-Omari surrendered on June 28, 2004. Al-Omari was described by the authorities as a "weapons smuggler of the first degree."(1) The following is the sequence of events surrounding Al-Omari's surrender, as reported by the Saudi media:

The turning in of Al-Omari was mediated by the extremist Wahhabi cleric Sheikh Safar Al-Hawali, who currently serves as a mediator between wanted terrorists and Saudi authorities.

Al-Hawali described to the Saudi government daily Al-Watan the process of turning Al-Omari in. He said that he met Al-Omari in his home in Jeddah, where they had dinner and discussed Al-Omari's demands in return for turning himself in. Those demands were described by Al-Hawali as "simple demands" which the Ministry of Interior can not reject. During the meeting, Al-Omari confessed to Al-Hawali that he had "planned to carry out an operation that would cause bloodshed and destruction, but reneged after he was convinced it wouldn't bring any good, and that such acts are forbidden."

After the meeting, Al-Hawali accompanied Al-Omari to the home of Prince Muhammad Bin Naif Bin Abd Al-Aziz, who is the son of Interior Minister Prince Naif, for whom he also serves as assistant for security affairs, holding the title of Minister. According to Al-Hawali, the minister prepared a "great human" reception for Al-Omari, and "blessed him and praised him for his courageous stand to surrender himself shortly after the amnesty was declared."

Al-Hawali noted during the two hour meeting that "Prince Muhammad Bin Naif gave the wanted terrorist Othman Al-Omari the possibility of choosing which prison he wishes to remain in until the end of his interrogation - whether in Riyadh, Jeddah, or in the Al-Namas region [in which he lives] in order to be close to his family." Al-Hawali described this proposal as "clear proof that Prince Muhammad Bin Naif understands the feelings of the wanted, and is determined to secure their tranquility." Al-Omari chose to stay in one of Jeddah's prisons.

Al-Hawali also told the daily that "Prince Muhammad Bin Naif stressed to Al-Omari that he would be well-treated throughout his interrogation and trial, and that the state pledges to grant his family protection, and to support it financially and morally, like the families of the other wanted men, whom [the families] are not to blame for what happened."(2)

A few weeks after Al-Omari was turned in, the Saudi newspapers reported that the Saudi authorities had paid off Al-Omari's debts. According to Al-Watan, Othman Al-Omari's mother expressed her "gratitude and appreciation of Prince Muhammad Bin Naif for his noble initiative to pay off the debts of her son, who recently turned himself in to the Saudi authorities." The mother recounted that "Prince Muhammad Bin Naif contributed the entire sum, totaling 170,000 SR [$45,300], as well as a grant of 30,000 SR [$8,000] to Al-Omari's family. In addition, a monthly stipend of 3,000 SR [$800] will be paid to Othman Al-Omari's children, as well as a salary of 2,000 SR [$530] to Othman Al-Omari himself."(3)

The Saudi government daily Al-Riyadh reported that Al-Omari's four children also expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Prince Muhammad Bin Naif for "his initiative which saved their father from debts of 170,000 SR [$45,300]."(4)

Treachery Repeated

Muhammad ( Sallallahu alaih wasallam) said when ordering the killing of Abu Shayyr, who had repeatedly insulted him by poetry: "A believer does not get bitten from the same hole twice."

It is obvious that this advice and warning from Muhammad (Sallallahu alaih wasallam) has repeatedly fallen on deaf ears in the Saudi government and the treachery of Al-Saud family against the noble Islamic Ummah has a well established history.

It was with the support of Britain, who had supplied them with weapons and money, that the Wahhabis, led by Muhammad ibn Saud and later by his son Abdul Aziz, organised their armies to deal a treacherous blow against the body of the Muslim Ummah. In 1788 they raided Kuwait then they marched northwards until they besieged Baghdad. All these expeditions, under the false pretence of purifying the Islamic lands from 'bidah' and 'shirk' knowingly facilitated the shirk and taghoot of the occupation and control of the Islamic lands by the colonialist powers.

So like every generation and every decade that has passed since, the illegitimate creation of Saudi Arabia from the ashes of the Ottoman Khilafah, it should not have surprised anyone when the announcement was made by senior Saudi officials of the proposed international military force drawn exclusively from Muslim countries to be sent to Iraq. The claim was to bring stability and peace to Iraq by a force that would be deemed legitimate by the Iraqi people and particularly the 'insurgents'.

The plan was raised in talks between US Secretary of State Colin Powell and senior Saudi officials in the city of Jeddah. It has come under the backdrop of the increased US casualties (900 US troops have died so far), regular 'suicide bombings' as conveniently termed by the western media and the increased resentment targeted against the current US appointed Iraqi government. Among the Muslim countries being approached for contributions to a Muslim force are Pakistan, Bangladesh and Morocco.

However, when the Muslims scrutinise this proposal, the 'false pretence' created by the Saudi government, like their treacherous forefathers, becomes evident.

This proposal of an international Muslim force has nothing to do with the security of the people of Iraq and nothing to do with the preservation of the honour and dignity of the Iraqi people. Likewise it has nothing to do with either the implementation of the Islamic values, rules and system nor the protection of the people of Iraq from the political, military and economic influence of the vultures that sought to control and consume Iraq and its wealth. On the contrary, just like the undying loyalty to the interests of colonial Britain in the late 18th century, the Saudi proposal represents the government's undying loyalty to its current master, the US. Such a proposal would go far to help protect US interests, personnel, presence and control over Iraq by remote control – now making the Muslim armies become responsible to justify US butchery, control and domination over the political landscape.

How much of a humiliation is this to the noble ummah and the Muslim armies.

Allah ( Subhanahu wa ta’ala) says in the Quran:

"O you who believe, do not take my enemy and your enemy as allies over you, giving them your love, when they have rejected the truth that has come to you." (TMQ Al-Mumtahina:1)

This does not at all mean that the recent counter proposal by Gaddafi, the Libyan leader, represents the interests of Islam and the Iraqi people either. He urged all Muslim countries that, “Arab and Muslim troops should not be sent to Iraq unless the occupation forces withdraw.” This statement represents nothing more than the current treacherous status quo where the armies in the Muslim land are chained and prevented from engaging in the fight to remove the aggression and occupation in Iraq, Afghanistan or Palestine etc… and liberate its people under the banner of Islam.

Armies are established to protect the people they serve and to protect the values and systems they believe in. The basis for the Muslim armies in the Muslim world is Islam and must only be Islam. It is Islam and their undying loyalty to Islam and her people that would give these soldiers honour and dignity in the Duniya and in the Akhira. It could never be the shameful implementation and pursuit of securing western colonial interests.

The Saudi regime, like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Morocco show no shame. When the Islamic values and her ummah are being slaughtered in Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq, Gujarat (India) and Afghanistan, their armies are chained to their barracks and prevented from fulfilling their Islamic duty. Yet when the US calls for the protection of her soldiers and her interests, only then do these governments come running and unleash their armies. How clear is the treachery and humiliation.

Does the leadership and general body of the Muslim armies not realise the treachery of their rulers and how they willingly succumb to the words of their master, the US, and ignore the words of the Master of the universe and of life and death, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala)?

Does the leadership and general body of the Muslim armies not remember the strong hadith of Muhammad (Sallallahu alaih wasallam) when he referred to following the kuffar down the lizard's hole - is that not what the Saudi government and all governments in the Muslim world do?

Does the leadership and general body of the Muslim armies not realise that the actions of their governments is to weaken them and make them succumb to the western military leadership?

Surely it is time for the Muslim armies to unearth their creedal foundation and show loyalty to Islam and her ummah. And surely it is clear for the armies to engage in the obligation (wajib) to establish the Khilafah that will also give them the sincere Islamic leadership under which they would fight and defend Islam and her people.

And Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) says,

The recent issue of Sawt al-Jihad (Voice of Jihad) published an article titled "A Letter to the Wife of the Slain Pagan Paul Johnson from the Wife of One of the Martyrs." The anonymous letter is attributed to the wife of one of those killed by the Saudi Security forces.

The Blood of Your Husband is the Blood of a Dog because He is an Idolatrous Infidel

I have heard that you appeared on television feigning innocence and wondering haughtily what was your husband's sin and what was his crime. I believe you are not ignorant of the fact that he was one of the greatest criminals indeed, although he is not considered that according to your standards, you infidels. For you call the criminal innocent and the innocent one, defending his rights - criminal. Or else, what was the purpose of your husband's work with the Apache helicopters? Have you ever believed that these helicopters hover over Afghanistan, Palestine, and Iraq to shower flowers and sweets over the heads of our children there? Or do you know that they throw on them rockets and bombs in order to turn their streets and homes into ashes upon which their corpses become coal? Is his work above reproach, then? Or was he innocent, while he worked on this kind of airplane [sic]?

Do you know that my husband was killed before my eyes in his homeland? Do you know that those who killed him are security people trained to defend the imperialists and to frighten and kill the Muslim people of the country? When your husband was taken hostage, there was much talk and the world was shaken. However, these same people did not speak half as much when America, the so-called country of justice and liberty, has been detaining more than 600 Muslims in Cuba for the past three years. That is besides our prisoners in Iraq, Pakistan, the land of the Two Sacred Mosques [Saudi Arabia], Jordan, and other places.

You should know that our brethren whom you detain in your prisons and our brethren whom your husband used to burn with his helicopters are not alone. Rather, there are hearts pounding with love for them, just as you have demonstrated that you have loved your slain husband. Nay, we love them more than you can imagine because the blood of a Muslim is for us more precious than the Ka'ba, but the blood of your husband is the blood of a dog because he is an idolatrous infidel."

The Corpse of Your Husband shall be followed by Mountains of Corpses

Do you know that we have not done anything [yet] about the blood of Muslims and the blood of my husband that was shed for no reason. We are just getting started and the corpse of your husband shall be followed by mountains of corpses of his countrymen, until they leave the country of our Prophet, Allah's prayer and peace upon him, lowly and humiliated. How can you claim innocence for your husband, Allah's curse on him, while you have been hearing the warnings of the Mujahideen calling you to leave our country that is forbidden for you? You however shut your ears and went obstinately with your wrongdoing. This is your penalty. May you shed tears mixed with blood, just as we wept blood because of your airplanes and your troops.

When my husband was killed you certainly were not interested, nor did you know about it; and if you had known, you probably would have been pleased that he was killed before he reached your husband and his countrymen. However, I find solace in the fact that the Mujahideen were able to reach their target with precision, and they killed your husband by slaughtering him. By Allah, on that day I rejoiced a lot because the real terrorist was killed having been gorged with the blood of our Muslim children."

We Hate You, Infidels, and We Loathe You to the Bone

I don't know whether you know that we hate you, infidels, and we loathe you to the bone. How could we not, while you are given preference over us even in our own country? For a long time did one of our airplanes hover to search for your husband while he was held hostage? There was much talk - even by people who pretend to be Muslim clerics - about negotiating with the Mujahideen, in order to persuade them to set your husband free. But my husband, they prevented us from praying over him, even after his death, and they did not give us his pure body [for burial]. We rely only on Allah to [punish] those who wronged us for the purpose of pleasing your husband and his likes. None has uttered a word about my husband even though everybody knew my husband and attested to his righteousness. That was because of fear of their goddess, America.

Tell the government, which has appointed itself over us [i.e. the Saudi government], that what they do with our youth who are engaged in Jihad is good: If you kill them, you thereby send them to heaven in the shortest way, Allah willing; and if you let them stay alive, not having overcome them, that is fine for they will fight you and will force out the infidels form the land of Islam.

Neither do I. But here we are at war due to the greed, the lies, and the megalomania of others. And, IMO, if you are behind the lines maintaining the equipment used against a people you are fighting then you are a legitimate target. Only medical personnel (unarmed) are exempt. (Women and children and the aged as well. Unarmed, of course.)

They are part of the Philippines largest export workers. In all they send back home over $8 bil a year If you look closely in HK you can see that many of them have wedding rings but are forced to leave their families behind. In Arab countries there are well over 100,000 filapinas working as maids. In effect they are all potential hostages and that is why to protect them that the Philippine govt had to give in to the demands of the Jihadists.It is sad how all those good right wing christians were calling for Phillipine blood when they actually knew nothing about the reality of the situation
