Question How to Ruin a Good Dinner..................
Having finished an excellent dinner and retired to the kitchen to enjoy a snifter of 12 year old Armagnac and a decent cigar (and load the diswasher, since I had chased Mrs P to bed as she was tired: so OK, I'm a Post-Nuclear husband! ), I turned on the kitchen TV and being totally, competely and utterly bored to the back teeth with the Olympics, I watched our Channel 4, for a few minutes, until I felt like projectile vomiting!

Now C 4, might be described as Channel PC, Liberal, Left of Left, weird, Mad, Surrealist, or Crap, dependant upon one's point of view and perspective. (Actually, I went to their HQ, a few years ago, since a young producer wanted me to assist with a potential programme. Very strange and unsettling place! NO wonder all the viewers all seem, shall we say, kindly, dysfunctional!)

What this crap was about, was this fruitcake woman and her even more fruitcake "Husband", and his desire to "Breastfeed" his newly born kid!

Apparently, he had been to some nut doctor, who had prescribed hormone treatment to enable him to lactate.

Please, please, tell me that it's not me!

Next thing, we'll be having womb transplants............................

Paq

IK

Half-Corona, pure Java leaf, bought in France for peanuts.

Silkkkkkkkkky smooth, Bliss!

My Practice Manager is off to Southern Spain early September, to stay with her Spanish family friends, who have "Adopted" her.
One of them, eh, owns a large Tobac.

She will bring me some fresh Canary cigars (discussed before).

Habaneros leaf, wrapped in Cedar Wood.

Coronas and the extra large, "Elegantes Especialles", also wrapped in Cedar Wood.

Ummmmmmmmmmm!

I shall bring some nice Bourbon back from France ( 17 wonderful days from August 17th! ).

I'll tell you what I manage to find!

Tonight, my pre-prandial was a rather wonderful Glenn Grant Single Malt, on the rocks.

Soothed the frazzled nerves a tad!

Paq

I guess from the name it should be clear but I didn't know the French made a Bourbon. Thought it was a southern thing. You have just put some of our red state friends in a moral dilemma

Nope, PLS,they are very good at Pastis, nice, long with ice on a Summer's day.

However, there is a far wider choice at mad prices compared to the UK, in France: I discover new ones each time I go!

Pretty weird Paq All I can see in that family's future is THERAPY - especially the kid when he realizes that Daddy is breastfeeding him. The mom needs therapy for letting the dad do it and the dad definitely needs therapy most of all

It was a few years ago But I did see a California-made vest where the man puts in bottles on either side at an angle so that the bottle nipple was just over his. What was missing from this get up was that the baby would miss the skin to skin bonding contact.

I wouldn't worry about it... the first time his nipples get sore he'll pass that kid to the mother so fast that you'd think that he was in the superbowl

As you may recall, he can do that in America but only in Starbucks.

By the way, see what socialized medicine gets you!
