RNC - Plots, Plans, Schemes and Things
Quote:
Bush promises detailed plans at convention Republicans also plan on portraying street demonstrations as Democratic-sanctioned displays of disrespect for a sitting president.

With thousands of demonstrators coming to New York, Mr. Bush's aides said they expected competition for attention but said that posed more of a risk for Democrats than for Republicans. Even though Democrats are not involved in organizing the protests, some of the participants are almost certain to be aligned with traditionally Democratic groups, like labor and environmentalists, and Republicans made clear they would seek to link Mr. Kerry and the Democratic Party to any disorder.
I can just see Karl Rove plotting with the 'White House' hit goons as to how that can incite the demonstrators or to send in their own goon-group to stir up trouble so they can blame the Dems for any disruptions at the RNC. Wouldn't surprise me if they dressed up a bunch of people to look like mujahdeen terrorist to carry pro Kerry signs.

Should be an interesting convention - watch their tactics and listen to the rhetoric - should get a good gauge as to their desperation!

Yeah ok, it's fine to connect the Republicans in any way of the seven degrees, but not the Democrats?

Consistency...that's all I ask. One standard will do nicely.

It doesn't surprise me in the least that the first RNC-themed thread to hit the forum this year reads like a conspiracy theory...

These protestors are being paid by Soros and others to make the biggest public display that they can.

Just another anti-Bush 527. And you don't think they are tied to the Kerry campaign?

Al Jezeera will be at the RNC as well (as was quickly pointed out to me)

I wonder if the RNC will demand they pull down the AJ sign like the DNC did? Probably.

If this thread is going to be about how the reublicians are trying to distract the American people from knowing the truth then it is going to be a VERY long thread

They are masters of this slight of hand ! Instead of an elephant as their symbol, they should use a snake

Paying protestors is not illegal. It has been happening for some time. No need to provide a link to prove that.

Why would they need to sit and plot, when the Kerry team has led the way by trying to tie the swift boaters to the Bush campaign?

With an example like that to follow we should all be able to shrug off any criticism!

Just for you, my good friend.

Who's funding GOP disruption?
Ted Turner joins Teresa as backer of Republican 'Ruckus'

WASHINGTON – An anarchist group planning disruptions at next week's Republican National Convention in New York gets funding from a Ted Turner foundation as well as a foundation chaired by Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of the Democratic Party presidential nominee.

The Ruckus Society, besides getting support from the Tides Foundation, a favorite charity destination of Heinz Kerry, as previously reported by WND, has also received a $150,000 grant from the Turner Foundation via the Ecology Center, according to Activistcash.com.

"The Ruckus Society seems to have no compunction about breaking laws when they become inconvenient to 'the cause,'" reports the website. "John Sellers himself (the founder) has been arrested over 40 times, most notably outside the 2000 Republican National Convention, where he was held on a $1 million bond until the event had concluded.

"While radicals claim that Sellers was railroaded by law enforcement, it's worth noting that police officers confiscated a variety of weapons from protesters at the scene of Sellers' arrest, including piano wire and gasoline-soaked rags tied to chains."

The Ruckus Society is most well-known for the World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle in 1999 and planning similar disruptions for the New York convention. The group has been training protesters for the GOP convention in the art of sit-ins and blockades.

World net daily? Do us a big favor and next time try to post a link that is NOT from Republican backers

Your propaganda falls on deaf ears. Maybe next time something try posting something a little more UNBIASED like CNN or something... but then if you were to try to use an UNBIASED source, you'd still be looking now wouldn't you.

I didn't say that they were 100% unbiased, I said that they were "a little more UNBIASED" Beavis

Here's a clue... Read what is written, and not what YOU want to see!

...of course we all noticed that you still haven't posted any sort of an unbiased link
