Thumbs up Alaska votes to legalize marijuana on Nov. 2nd
This bill would do away with civil and criminal penalties for people 21 years or older who grow, use, sell, or give away marijuana or other hemp products. These products include hemp used for paper, fiber, food, fuel, medicine, or personal use in private. Marijuana could be regulated like alcohol or tobacco. State law could not stop doctors from prescribing marijuana. The bill allows for laws limiting marijuana use in some cases to protect public safety, and it allows laws to limit marijuana use in public. The bill would not nullify laws regulating marijuana use by minors.

I think I just saw a news clip of people boarding a plane for Alaska and Wino was trying to break in to the front of the line.

P.S.-Happy 64th birthday to me.

I lived in Alaska for 3 years. In Dutch Harbor Alaska in the Aluetian Island chain. Pot has basically been legal there for years. People standing outside of the store smokin a doobie right infront of a cop, smokin it in Bars etc. One of the first big parties we all threw up there, the cops showed up and two ounces were on the table and the bongs were going on over-time. The cops came over and picked up a bud or two, smelled it and said "just to let you know folks, this is ok." half the stoners in the place almost had heart attack when two officers walked in. So basically even in the decades past. It was legal to have in possesion Marijuana in Alaska anyways When I was there in the early 80s you could possess up to two ounces, any more and you could get busted.

I have lost three family members to and many friends alcohol, and many more to Hard drugs, but I have never lost a friend or family member from smokin weed. What do most of them do? Get the munchies and go chill somewhere? Out of all of the Dependencie evils of this world like prescription drugs, alcohol, heroin etc. Pot is the the best if you abuse something, I guess

Yah, that is a real dumb thing to do

Many Democrats etc up in Alaska, trust me

Besides I thought the major pot smokers were Republicans, because if someone votes for Bush around me, my first comment will be "Are you high?"

when I was in Alaska, we called this the lower 48, emphasizing lower
