Hypocrites
You guys closed my thread for help because my game was cracked from a friends REAL game CD. If your going to do that you may as well closed the entire sever down, because i'm sure that heaps of people that ask for help on this site have a burned game that their asking help for and just don't say. And i'm perfectly sure that the moderators have 'illegal' games. So before you reply to another post think to yourself "Is this a burned game and their just not saying? Should i really answer it?" and who knows you'll either stay a hypocrite or realise that anyone on this server is asking for help on an illegal game.

Oh, please.
From what I've seen here, if any members or moderators get a sense that software might be pirated, they will say so - sometimes only to have the original poster get really upset because it really is legal. It's impossible to read minds. This site is here to help people. However, if someone comes right out and says their software is pirated or if that information comes out somewhere in the post then there's really no doubt, huh?! The post will be closed and the user's account disabled in some cases. This should not be a surprise as the Forum Rules you agreed to when you created your account specifically state this. I find it rather odd that you agreed to the rules and then posted such a post KNOWING it is against the rules.

If you are going to steal, get good at it because the people on this forum won't help you do it. Is that simple enough for you?

Calling us hypocrites isn't helping your situation at all.

Oh, PLEASE. Go cry at another site if you don't like the forum rules. I'd close this thread, but I want to give everyone opportunity to bash your silly thread

And i'm perfectly sure that the moderators don't have 'illegal' games.

If you hang around long enough to know the people that moderate this site, you'll learn this crew are honest.
I doubt you'll stay, because you're chasing illegal software.
To the best of my knowledge, anyone that has asked for aids in software stealing has been reprimanded and then banned if they continued.
The greatness and strength of this site is in it's honesty and integrity.
Here's to Mike(the owner) and all the people that make this site a sucess....

Sounds quite to the point to me!

Ya know, I was looking at his previous posts and noticed in this post that he made a point to mention that the SAME game was “real not burned” – looks like he forgot that this time. That’s how he knows that sometimes users with pirated software can convince those here to help because he’s done it by lying to us.

That is my standard comeback. I run games without the CD, but I bought the games. If the work around doesn't work then I can STILL use the CD.

BTW, Maxis is tough.

Man you don't know what you have done. If I were you I would forget about this site for awhile and maybe it would be safe to return in aboout 10 years.
The one thing you don't do is publicly mash on a moderator. That is why there is a PM function. You still wouldn't have gotten your way but you would be able to show your presence.

Hypocrites. Us?

So let me get this straight. You wish to use software you did not purchase or obtain by legal means, then when you don't get assistance you get all mad? Rationalize this by saying that you were honest about your stealing Hey, I know, go try that where you live. Take an active role in bank robbery, then go tell the bank that you did it. Perhaps they will let you keep the money and not have you arrested for the crime -- because you were so honest. They might even open you an account to keep it in.

I can't speak for other moderators, but I'm 99.99% sure that they also don't have any illegal software on their computers. I was the one who closed your thread because it broke forum rules

And I don't have any illegal games on my computer
I spend too much time fixing problems caused by illegal software & copies that aren't all what they are supposed to be to take a chance on them

Grow up, read the forum rules and look back at some previous threads that have been locked for similar reasons

You haven't been picked on, just treated like any other member that broke the rules
