Lightbulb Bible Studies.

Answer. For proclaiming himself to be the king of the jews. The King of the day didn't like this idea.

I know Mel's movie held very close to the gospel, weather any of that actual happened or not is another thing of course. You are right though whoever wrote the gospel wanted to make it seem like the Romans didn't care one way or another, that they were just carrying out the will of the Jewish hierarchy and at least part of the Jewish people of that time.

Very interesting perspective, did the Jews want Jesus crucified? Or did the Romans fear his popularity?, I did not get the impression that Jesus was trying to mount any kind of insurrection against Rome, "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar" sorry if I mangled that a little, that's why it was believable that Rome was somewhat neutral about Jesus's fate.
So you are not a Bible Scholar and therefore you would not put BSc after your name if it stood for Bible Scholarship.

You would understand it, if you simply read it, that that it contains a chapter entitled ... Apocalypse.

Apocalypse is therefore, part of religious thinking.

Given a RATIONAL Electorate, and not an irrational and suicidal electorate who WANT to "martyr" themselves, the non-religious term is "commit suicide", which would you prefer?

A non-religious, non-suicidal scripture, or a religious, suicidal scripture?

That is to say that, granted foreknowledge, (by virtue of having read the Bible) would you vote for, or against, Apocalypse?

So we have two trains of thought. The pro-apocalypse "party" and the Anti-Apocalypse "party".

Which one do you think the majority of idiots would vote for?

What about the Minority vote?

How do these two voting trends compare?

(This is where people say that they haven't read the Bible and so they don't know what the future prediction will be.) A normal thing, for the illiterate, to do.

My personal view, and my personal opinion, is, that those who would vote for Apocalypse should martyr themselves in the privacy of their own homes and stop visiting their suicidal religion on Me.

The four Horsemen of the Apocalypse should be sacked, and so should the imbecile at the centre of all of this furore.

Possibly there should be a Biblical future program on television, following on from the News and Weather.

You see the benefit of having a small non-biblical church?

So, are the lights on, and is everyone wide awake?

Thank you.

"Religion was invented when one idiot met another idiot and they said, i i ."

Adapted from a saying by Voltaire.

Oh, so you decided that you would reply to your own thread after all. You do realise that your own policies wouldn't feature among any government which was "anti-apocalypse," don't you?

I work for a government which is anti-apocalypse.

You could add Mr. Brindle's two o's to the two i's above.

You will arrive at io io , as in, "Io Io it's off to work we go!" and may come to realise that the entire planet is being run by Snow White and the seven dwarves.

Alternatively, by two fools and two idiots.

You didn't have to do that: it was apparent who I was referring to in my post.

You mention GDP (In isolation) instead of GPP (Gross Planetary Product) and GPC (General Planetary Control).

Mass manufacturing is not interesting to those with salaried positions outside of manufacturing industry.

My first car, made in 1954, (2.1 Litre straight four.) with a top speed of 100 MPH (more than twice that of a horse) is still running very well half a century later.

Mass manufacturing and "vested interests" would have you buy a new car every 1 to 2 years to be seen to be fashionable and to be seen to have the latest year numberplate.

I have a vested interest in living in peace on this planet.

If everyone had a similar car and the post-war restrictions of essential use only and reasonable rationing we would not be drawing closer and closer to apocalypse.

GDP is meaningless to many people.
