Hold on now!

I say three cheers for Boss Green!

Until now I always thought of "Techguy" and sites like it as the epitome of the Marxist Ideal: From Each According to His Ability, To Each According to His Need.

However now I see that we've all just been downtrodden proletariat exploited for our geeky talents by the scions of internet Capitalism like Techguy!

The 'dead giveaway' should have been his deciding he could afford to get married!

Harrumph!

That's not saying much--for Rog anything that he says that is funny is potentially the funniest thing he's ever said!

Ah good old Moldy putting words in people's mouths again. Thanks for trying to make it look like I was bashing Mike Moldy!

I didn't see the post as aimed at Techs Unionizing on this site, I saw it more in general. I could be wrong. (Unlike Mulder )

I am looking forward to clarification on the intent of this post.

I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, basset, I was just making a joke. I'm sorry if I implied that you would bash this site-you are a loyal, albeit a very politically confused member and I know you would never knowingly bash the site. I just thought it was funny because I realized you missed the point of EdGreen's thread.

In all honesty, the Union thread was directed at me I am sure (if it is indeed EdGreen actually posting) because I had just made a few posts regarding unions which I am sure you recall. I think the thread was intended as a joke but obviously one of the other moderators saw it as an attempt to disparage Mike and/or the TSG. I think that's why it was closed although you'd have to ask Derek why he closed it (I am sure if you PM him, he'd be happy to give you an explanation). And I am sure you would agree it was potentially explosive so closing it was probably the right choice. Just my opinion.

Bash me. I found the post offensive and reported it as such. As for closing it. It is beyond my control.

I don't know if we ever figured out who the "EdGreen" poster was. Recall that he was posting at the same time as EdGreene but was posting as the anithesis of EdGreene. I thought it was someone else joking around, but it may have been EdGreene goofing on us with another profile. I checked it the ISP against EdGreene and it did not match and I checked it against some other people (I thought it was Gbrumb because it sounded like his sense of humor) but couldn't get a match. Obviously, in this day and age of wireless Internet, it is pretty easy to post from different ISP addresses.

Anyone have any guesses? Is it really EdGreene or if not, who it is posting?

Thanks, I respect Mike and didn't want any confusion about that!
