Bah!

France must not be doing its duty to its people if it allowed somehting of that magnatude to carry on as long as it did.

Poverty brings on desparate cases like this, it is very sad.

This reminds me of the many sex slaves in eastern europe, the fact that the developed nations ignore this most of the time is very sad

Yeah the Germans would have been so much better off economically if they were allowed to build more weapons prior to Hiter's rise to power.

Understood.
Decent parents would move their children to somewhere else safer.

One doesn't associate poverty with France. On the contrary ... affluence ... this is just a smokescreen for the defence ... Grrrrr This is shades of the Belgium Police cover up of few years ago, which stunned the normally laid back Belgium people into reality

Yeah and the French were resposible for that also, in fact hilter may never have gained power without the punitive measures that the french insisted on after WWI, kind of makes you think a little doesnt it.

Fidelista, great article!

I used to work where Dyncorp contractors had the UNIX side of the computers and my company and another controlled the Windows side. Their contractors did not know much of anything and one actually sabotaged the router during crunch time and tried to pin it on us. Needless to say, when his boss discovered his actions, he was fired immediately (2am as I recall). But the way the rest of the company (Dyncorp) acted was dismal. When I was unemplyed for quite awhile, I did get one job offer from Dyncorp, turned it down flat. Their reputation in the IT world is crapola. I only wish government contracting officer would wake up to the systemic problems with them and others that I won't get into here. I have worked with or for or as a sub to many DOD and civilian contractors over the years, and most of the people are good and want to do right. It is the culture of some of the companies that I have had a problem with. Maybe I'm just not a team player, but I think it depends on what game they are trying to play.

Its stories like this that make me understand the debates that some people put forward in regard to having a license to have children, im not saying this should be enforced but when people do this to their own children... it makes you think, should everyone have the right to have children?

I think the parents in this case need to be locked away for life, and anyone else who took part in it needs to be casterated and locked away for life also. It would not matter how destitute i was, there is no length that i would not put myself through just to make sure my finace and daugther are safe and have food and a roof over there head. I would kill or be killed before any harm would come to them.

It really sickens me how people can do this to their own childen let alone any children.

Not everyone has all their marbles. I also believe in ghouls, beings who have a human form, but not a human heart, and who never die. The body of the ghoul may die, but the ghoul goes on to invade another being.
