We could use a Veritas Party (for all the untutored masses that means Truth) in the US.

Yes would be good to see a Veritas Party launched in the US. All at Veritas UK are very busy due to the forthcoming election. Robert Kilroy Silk is busy up and down the country meeting the people.

Do you like Kilroy?

He seems like a bit of a jerk to me...

But this is still funny!

There's an auction on eBay selling a campaign poster for the election this year. Just search Kilroy and there's five near the bottom. Be quick though, ends soon.

Personally, I reckon Veritas is a poor excuse for a party, even if Kilroy is a "character." But oh well.

I agree!

He is extremely egotistical and pompous.

All part of his character.

Agree with all the posters so far. Ive met him when he hosted a daytime talk show which i went on. I was completely underwhelmed by him. And so it seem is most of the electorate. And who says the British electorate are stupid?

The US really only has 2 parties anyway. If you combined that situation with our electoral system democracy would be dead the moment the polling stations opened because if the winning party got 1 vote more in each constituency than the second they'd get over 600 MPs in parliament, while the second gets none. Meanwhile the 49 or so % who voted for the second have no representation in our Political process for another 4 years. Stupid isn't it!

Oh and - no - I'm not a supporter of UKIP or any of the other RKS Political ventures. It's just going to be very topical at the moment because of all the hoo hah about the European constitution.

Here's how the UK election worked in 2005.

LAB gets 35.2% of the vote but gets 356 seats out of 645
CON get 32.3% but gets 197
LD's get 22% but gets 62
INDs get 10.5% but gets 30

With a different system the percentage would be represented as LD - 142 seats, CON - 208, LAB - 227 and OTHERS - 67.

The figures speak for themselves.
