All these years I thought it was Linda Lovelace!

I guess Felt decided it was safe to come out of hiding...after all he is 91 now!

A former top official at the FBI has reportedly admitted he was "Deep Throat" -- the unidentified source used by two Washington Post reporters to help uncover the Watergate scandal that led to Richard Nixon's resignation.

According to Vanity Fair magazine, the admission comes from W. Mark Felt, who was the No. 2 man at the FBI in the early 1970s.

Reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein had vowed never to reveal the identity of their source until after his death. Bernstein confirmed that promise again Tuesday.

Vanity Fair quotes Felt as saying, "I'm the guy they used to call Deep Throat."

Felt is now 91, and living in California.

I'm surprised he thought he could get away with numerous appearances in X-Files S1 without drawing attention.
