Yeah Dude--considering the track record of this adminsitration (particularly their totally ignoring intelligence that would cast doubt on their reasons for attacking Iraq) the whole incident doesn't shock me. I just think its damn scarey that the truth is being manipulated in order to acheive policy goals. Thank God that their are still media outlets that are acting as the 4th Estate. I doubt we will see this reported on the Fox News Network and I doubt we will get a comment from the wingers in this forum.

i read this article, jack, and have been round and round here on this discussion....unfortunately, the propoganda that the media is biased has a death grip on some of the minds here

last time around, i found this website www.realclimate.org...it was immediately dismissed as a blog, because it IS set up so that readers can discusse the science presented....so i emailed the site to confirm that the science is presented, as claimed, by working climatologists....it is, and they are....

it would seem, however, that science is also biased....or at least, anti-american ....perhaps that is why so few care that reports are edited to serve the best interests of those who would suffer the most if any of this were......what's that word, again?

Hey Iltos! I'm totally convinced that this administration makes the Grant adminsitration seem like a bunch of choir boys. I think that it is remarkable, that a former oil company lobbyist is allowed to vet a report that the White House's SCIENTISTS wrote! We have people from the oil industry opining on scientific matters---really scarey stuff.

in topics such as these, where government statistics are circumspect, mulder limits himself to drive bys, spraying the opposing view with his consipracy spittel....he's the young earth creationist of global warming science, and the administration is his bible.

Yeah, I mean if this isn't proof positive of how big oil is in control of that White House, then I don't know what is. Think of it---this guy, a former oil lobbyist, without scientific credentials, is doctoring reports to favor big oil. The reports are written by scientists who sit on a White House sanctioned committee!
