How can you be an ex Vet----Once a Vet always a Vet--By the way, I doubt anyone is going to openly admit they have turned against the government--not now.

As far as using depleted uranium goes, I don't know about the issue to comment. I am in contact with a young man right in the middle of the Sunni Triangle and he tells me that most of them have had it. They feel that they are rolling a boulder up a hill, and that when they think they have reached the summit, it rolls back on them. They feel that the Iraqi people are beginning to blame them for their problems, and he told me that many are now longing for the days of Sadaam Hussein. (Granted this is the Sunni triangle so I dont take that seriously).

I served in Vietnam, and generally speaking, it takes a considerable amount of time for the field soldier to outwardly turn on his superiors. For instance, during Nam, there were many instances of fragging---most of them never got reported. In Iraq, I have heard of maybe one or two---so it isn't a major problem at this point. What makes this war unique is the use of reservists---or should I say, the burning out of reservists. Take those who died from Ohio---most of them were not combat ready, and they definitely were not prepared to fight this kind of insurgency. They received very little training before departing and they were riding in a vehicle that wasn't meant to function in a war zone where road side bombings are the principle form of enemy fire. These are the guys who are starting to complain, and the chorus will increase.

I read this on that site;http://www.military.com/NewsContent/...425,00.html---
It seems that they are cutting housing allowances. It amazed me because I read today that Alaska is getting a bridge to connect to an Island that has 50 people on it. Guess who is the king of PORK in Congress---The head of the House Appropriations Committee who just so happens to be in the district where the bridge will be built. We do live in a sick country.
