German Pope Changes Mass
Forgive me Mulder, Bassetman and Candy---I know I have posted three times in the last week---I did feel that this was very important because as a Catholic, I wanted to make sure that all members of the faith were aware of these changes.

well if you choke on it, you have the pope to thank! He has obviously performed some sort of ritual to make it evil and only discerning people like myself can see it. Just imagine...scores of people falling down and choking during mass.

I am grateful to be a Baptist....we use oyster crackers and grape juice to remember the Lord's supper. I bet the RCC doesnt even allow one little sip of beer to wash down the killer bite. Its a travesty, I tell ya!

You can have a sip--but it has to be behind the Church.

I'm surprised that aerlick fundamentalist Christian dude hasn't yet chimed in with his brand of catholic bashing.

Sorry---didn't see this this as Catholic bashing until the original photos (beer and pretzel) were kind of manipuated. I just saw it as a "cute" way of saying that the Papacy is now in a German's hands. It is interesting how everyone has a different reaction to the picture--pretty much based on their own religious beliefs.

There's nothing new about using 'real' alternatives to wafers and communion wine for communion. However, unless that's a VERY young German wine, I suspect the original photos were doctored too...the point being that the alternatives still have to reflect the words spoken during the eucharist...ie 'bread of the earth' (so no bars of chocolate)....'fruit of the vine'...(I've yet to grow a decent beerwein).
