Doesn't surprise me---Mulder is a taxwinger--thats his primary relationship to conservatism. He is liberal to moderate when it comes to social issues.

Not "taxwinger", practicalwinger. I understand that economics drives everything so you have to be practical about it rather than hysterical like the libs. Moore-Ons don't realize that tax revenue is finite. and collapses, not expands as you raise rates significantly. Also, they can't comprehend that tax incentives to the rich benefit the poor more than additional taxes. The problem with the Moore-Ons is an emotional one--they just can't stand to think of a guy with a billion dollars--they feel like its unfair and should be taken away from him.

Actually, the questions in the survey are pretty poor--I couldn't answer them the way I wanted otherwise the results would be different. But it doesn't surprise me that Lieberman is at the top. I've said before I would be quite pleased with him as President (so long as no supremes retire and Republicans controll Congress! ).

Problem is the Democrats will never run him--they'll run another liberal (Hillary) and get beat again. If the Moore-Ons in the party would learn, they'd win some elections. Lieberman would have defeated Bush easily this last election. He would beat just about all the leading Republicans in 2008, except for possibly Guilliani, who would ride into the whitehouse on moderate views and his 9/11 popularity.
